Executive decision by Mr C.

PicklePig turns his nose up at an sticks apart from the Webbox ones. It appears he's a stick snob. He won't eat fish in any form either. Or 'human' food. I've never known a cat to refuse roast chicken or ham before but he does.
He loves crisps though. Cheese Doritos are his favourite :)

Weedsnseeds1 · 02/10/2017 12:09

Mine will eat roast chicken, but only if it's warm from the oven. If it's leftovers from the fridge, he won't entertain it.
He'll eat a Dreemie, just to be polite, but isn't that fussed.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2017 13:03

Judging by the photo on the other thread, following his morning of horror, I think he's about due a roast chicken straight from the oven now :).

Weedsnseeds1 · 02/10/2017 15:28

It's steak tonight, so I'll offer him mine on bended knees!!
I might light the fire, too, so I have some ashes to go with the sack clothSad

cozietoesie · 02/10/2017 17:59

You mean you don’t cut it up and put it in a special wee bowl? Dreadful standards, Cherie.

Lanaorana2 · 02/10/2017 21:30

I'm eating reduced roast beef out of the packet. So is Mr C. Same packet, obv.

Now that's sheer class for you.

How was last night?

We've got the heating on; grunty purring echoes round these leafy parts.

A reduced Scotch egg has disappeared.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 03/10/2017 11:34

Oh My. Disappeared in its entirety?? Shock

Ollivander84 · 03/10/2017 13:11

Shock disappeared into a belly of someone? Wink
Ollie has been "exploring". My neighbour spotted him a street away and told him to get back home this instant. Apparently he looked very shame faced and trotted off home

Lanaorana2 · 03/10/2017 13:23

Vanished into thin air. Mr C is snoring.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/10/2017 13:25

Scotch eggs are so morish though. Can't blame him for that.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/10/2017 13:29

Mr C is snoring Food coma. What's a reduced Scotch Egg?

cozietoesie · 03/10/2017 14:18

Scotch eggs are rather large. Shock

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/10/2017 14:25

Sorry. Too cryptic. Can you please spell it out?

TheLongRider · 03/10/2017 15:55

I assume yellow-stickered, short-dated produce. I too scour the aisles for cut price specials

cozietoesie · 03/10/2017 16:04

By the way, Lana. Had you removed the wrapping and plated it? Grin

Lanaorana2 · 03/10/2017 17:29

Dictionary definition 'reduced scotch egg' = Celtic delicacy (fd). A very large sausagemeat-wrapped boiled egg beloved of unhealthy eaters, human and feline. Especially delicious when the price has been slashed from 1.35 to 35p (sterling) , as calories reduced accordingly.

He's finishing it off now. The cellophane of the packet rustling is adding extra gastronomic allure, evidently. Someone should tell Heston.

C :) :)

Spart I live next door to M&S so it's yellow stickers all the way for me. They constantly have to change the time of the issuing of the truly precious second yellow sticker because of customer violence. Not just a food fight...

F my best ever sticker was on 2 tuna steaks, nine quid reduced to 90p. We ate them griddled with balsamic and watercress trim.

cozietoesie · 03/10/2017 17:47

And all for Mr C. He should feel privileged. Wink

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/10/2017 18:13

oh! I assumed it was a cooking term! As in 'a reduction'. I was wondering how on earth you did it for a Scotch egg! Doh!

Lanaorana2 · 03/10/2017 19:07

Reduction in prepping food is when you boil a sauce down, reduction in buying food is when you bang a fellow customer on the head with a courgette and run off with a stickered cheese sandwich (this happened to me).

I am concerned about Mr C's arthritis. It is giving him gip. He can't take tramadol or any of the nsaids. The vet is running through the other treatments with me, fingers crossed we come up with something that works.

OP posts:
Allergictoironing · 03/10/2017 19:12

You probably don't want to be told that you need to keep the weight down when there's arthritis - I can imagine Mr C's reaction to being put on a diet!

Lanaorana2 · 03/10/2017 20:24

Oh don't. :) He is very good actually, bless him, but the vet and I will have to have The Conversation.

I suspect my claim that he has 'a heavy tail' may not pass muster again.

How about a natural supplement? I use one for my horse and it has a massive effect on her. It's got glucosamine, chondodroitin (can't spell that!), MSM, hyaluronic acid, devils claw and some other stuff
