Oh and I tried the radiator bed, they weren't impressed. I'm very fortunate that amazon love me and let me return all these things.

cozietoesie · 31/08/2017 16:27

Newboy has a radiator bed but - as far as I know - hasn't been near it. Grin (He knows what radiators are though. I found him yesterday evening, slumped against one. Wink)

They're being 'tested'. Blush

Lanaorana2 · 31/08/2017 18:47

Am on pills that give you nausea. Very effectively, as it turns out. Just come back from the 19th day running sorting clothes donations at charity. If I see another stained thong I'll pass out. :)

Back to important matters: are the radiators working now? Mr C is reclining in a very old fur coat that has made its way to the Box.

....stained thong.....?? Words fail me. (Sorry you're not too chipper.)

The radiators seem to be fine but I might have to test them for just a little longer. Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/08/2017 20:05

Going by this asbo is positively abused.

I think testing the system is very sensible.

Lanaorana2 · 31/08/2017 20:14

Newboy is also testing The System if you ask me - eg Pernicious Peeing.

Asbo won't lose any chance to inform you he is cruelly treated Fluffy. My cousin, who has never had a cat, has inherited two Bengals. One day in, he 'got to know all the neighbours'. Two days in, he had to take emergency leave from work. Three days in, the police were called. Four days in, he is proudly texting pet pix round the family.

I think Harry is positively neglected going by this!

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/08/2017 20:52

Two bengals! Omg. That's a poisoned chalice.

Pink We do our best.

EachandEveryone · 31/08/2017 21:24

I must be doing something wrong with the radiator bed no wonder they won't relax it's practically touching the floor!

cozietoesie · 31/08/2017 21:24

I remember The Lodger with growing fondness.

Polite miaow - 'Any chance of some food?'

Polite miaow - 'Any chance of being let out?'

(And that was about it. (Apart from lolloping around the place and receiving strokes.))

I wish you had, Dances. Wink

Ollivander84 · 31/08/2017 22:15

I'm not even wasting my money on a radiator bed. I am Ollies giant radiator bed Grin

Lanaorana2 · 31/08/2017 22:22

The Lodger sounds such an adorable chap. I didn't know there was such as thing as a 'polite miaow'.

When it comes to placing an order for even the smallest snack, it's the full BAFTA round here - furry cheeks sucked in, goggly cartoon eyes, and piteous, extended shrieks of starvation. I'm surprised Princess Diana RIP doesn't appear round the scullery corner with eyes abrim.

I'm exaggerating a bit - Mr C is quite courteous usually. A gentle 'Kweh!' and off we trot to the kitchen. He is very vocal for a non-Siamese cat - we had a six-mew medley this am. (He mews, I mew back. I can't get him to go beyond 6. I have trouble understanding what my mews mean, see.)

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 31/08/2017 22:28

So you have no idea what your miaows mean? Gawd knows what you're saying! Grin

(I always talk in English to my boys. They seem to get it fine. Smile)

cozietoesie · 31/08/2017 22:29

The Lodger is an adorable chap Smile

cozietoesie · 31/08/2017 22:31

I could never understand why Seniorboy despised and detested him so.

Weedsnseeds1 · 31/08/2017 23:37

Maybe Newboy would like the Lodger?
Mine mainly communicates with squeaks and muttering. And whoomphs. He whoomphs a lot, chucks himself on the floor and inverts. This mainly means "tummy stroke, please" but could mean " out, please" or "snack, please", but whatever he gets, he's happy and purrs away. He's a cheerful little soul!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 31/08/2017 23:44

I am thoroughly confused Confused

cozietoesie · 01/09/2017 00:26

Newboy would hate The Lodger also - I just feel it in my bones. Sad

cozietoesie · 01/09/2017 00:30

No need to be confused, Dame. My darling Seniorboy - who lived for a while with The Lodger - died in March and in July, we were joined by Newboy, a 3 year old Siamese who had to find s new home due to a Siamese turf war. It's proving a tad challenging is all! Smile

cozietoesie · 01/09/2017 00:42

NoSquirrels · 01/09/2017 01:18

What happened to The Lodger, Cozie? Did he go off to lodge elsewhere?

Perhaps we need a Cozie Cat Family Tree as a stickie?

(Still hoping for a "bed settling" moment for NewBoy. Are you sure "testing" the heating was a good idea? Surely you want bed to be the toastiest place?!)

NoSquirrels · 01/09/2017 01:22

Btw, thanks to this thread/Seniorboy & a random RL convo, I was persuaded into Lick-e-lix.

Bonus: worming tablets x 2 cats the most easily achieved ever.

Downside: expectant cats x 2 EVERY SINGLE TIME I ENTER KITCHEN.

How long till they forget??

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/09/2017 09:02

Oh,I'm so sorry about Seniorboy! x
