I suspect that the lot about 10 minutes ago were a complaint about the harshness of his treatment. (He has to wait until midnight for Final Supper.) Grin

I hate dealing with companies that supply stuff. I've actually howled snotty tears of frustration after exchanges on the telephone with them. I think British gas are known for being particular wankers though?

But yay! WeedsRuff! It's like a whole separate entity.

Lanaorana2 · 01/10/2017 11:32

Ruff diamond, Weeds

Furr-tastic.

Phone companies and British Gas are beyond unspeakable M - EE are good, you sometimes get some of the money they nick back. I think they were done for 'customer problems' ie theft and I know BG is constantly being fined.

I am having flash backs to when I lived in a flat in London and British Gas tried to charge about £3000 due to a gas leak outside that necessitated me and my neighbours being evacuated for 2 nights....

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 13:04

Have you tried the "cat salami" sticks sold in Lidl cozie, I bet newboy would love them. I taught my non food obsessed boy to sit using them as a bribe!

cozietoesie · 01/10/2017 15:00

If it has calories and isn’t fruit, he’ll love it, Weeds. (I fear the day he discovers fruit and sweet things.)

cozietoesie · 01/10/2017 15:04

Sorry. Correction. If it smells like it isn’t fruit. An odour is sufficient -ie empty packets.

TheLongRider · 01/10/2017 15:10

I've made a rod for my own back with those cat salami sticks. My three have come to expect a cat stick at 10pm. I'm a cheap skate and split one stick three ways ( Scottish grandparents so frugality is in the genes!). I use them as bribes to get LongGirlCat downstairs from my daughter's bed.

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 19:26

The shop of wonder near me ( little unit on an industrial estate that sells shirt life / out of date ambient food products) once had huge boxes of the Webbox pick and mix style cat salami for 25p. I filled the car!

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 19:27

Short life.. not shirt!

cozietoesie · 01/10/2017 19:40

Newboy has Webbox sticks.

Sometimes. Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 19:52

Lidl ones are even better, but cheaper ( according to a comprehensive sample of one). Waitrose ones are horrible.

Ollivander84 · 01/10/2017 20:13

I have tried those sticks. And the lick stuff. Ollie won't touch any HmmAngry
Stable cat inhales all his leftovers

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/10/2017 20:41

You used to be able to get dried whitebait as a cat treat.

It was never popular with the Persians at all. Baked chicken livers had them lining up outside the oven.

cozietoesie · 01/10/2017 20:57

I’ve not found cats in general to be overly fond of fish. They’ll eat it but...............

Ollivander84 · 01/10/2017 21:00

Stable cat goes mental for tuna. But then she eats leek and potato soup so she's not the most discerning. Also stole my Thai spiced salmon with her swiping paw

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/10/2017 21:01

It didn't look appealing & I say that as someone who likes whitebait.

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 21:13

I've not had a fish loving cat either. The freeze dried chicken or duck morsels ( that cost about £1000 a gram) are quite popular too.
Lik-e-lix is treated with polite repugnance here. He's polite about everything.

RubbishMantra · 01/10/2017 21:18

It doesnt make sense for them to like fish really, cats originally being little desert creatures. Saying that though, Mcat goes into a trance when he can hear/smell tinned tuna.

cozietoesie · 01/10/2017 21:34

Yes. Newboy is very partial to the freeze dried chicken.

It’s expensive - he would be. Grin

Lanaorana2 · 01/10/2017 21:44

Mr C prefers the LIdl ones which are a third of the price of Waitrose. Tesco and Sainsbury's versions are akin to cardboard strips, and are not favoured.

I've been toying with the idea of a dehydrator for a while. Maybe I could make some?

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/10/2017 21:50

Oven on a low setting for a long time?. Dehydrators come up on eBay once the noveltys worn off.

Weedsnseeds1 · 01/10/2017 22:04

I have lots of fruit in season and am rather partial to biltong, so might actually use it!
