The tin is 'nearly as old as she was'?? Shock

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 22/08/2017 14:06

We are on our way to the tip

I will keep the tin....

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/08/2017 14:11

Yes, please do. Just put it wrapped in a nice scarf or bag or something away in a drawer until you are ready.

cozietoesie · 22/08/2017 14:15

Of course you will. Smile Next puss will, of course, completely disregard it.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/08/2017 14:16

Next puss will have their own unique treasured items, equally as important :)

cozietoesie · 22/08/2017 14:18

I gave away all of Seniorboy's (unopened) spare litter, food etc. There was quite a lot of it. Blush

Two days later, the phone rang.................

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 22/08/2017 14:35

We won't be having anymore cats - I am mega allergic to them (developed after I had the cats) and as we seem to be able to keep cats for over 20 years - DH will be nearly 80 when it pops its clogs... we are getting used to our freedom!

Also - she was the cat above all cats

YetAnotherSpartacus · 22/08/2017 14:38

inaclearingstandsaboxer treasure her memory then. She sounds very special.

WetsTheFinger · 22/08/2017 15:58

@cozietoesie oh yes, at least he's tidy!

cozietoesie · 22/08/2017 16:00

That's good then. Now you just have to get him to eat more quietly! Grin

caoraich · 22/08/2017 18:55

Och inaclearing it's so hard isn't it. Spartacus is right- pop the tin away somewhere that you won't see it all the time but can take it out to look at when you want to.

We kept our Juno's collar and bowl in a little drawer in the kitchen, sometimes I look at them. The hard one is her christmas present. She was run over on christmas eve and this being our first year together with pets DP and I had got excited and wrapped up a little stocking of cat toys for each of the cats- pure silliness but it seemed like fun. Juno's present is still wrapped up at the bottom of a drawer and we don't know what to do with it Sad

In happier news kitten Maisie was at the vets today and apparently flirted with everyone before climbing into the very newly graduated vet's handbag and stealing a tampon Blush

she's re-booked in to get spayed once the full time vet gets back from sick leave (that's if we're allowed back after today!!)

cozietoesie · 22/08/2017 22:17

When I took Newboy to the vets, there was a trainee with the actual vet. Seeing her shrunk against the wall, I invited her to stroke him - which she did albeit very gingerly.

Thinking about it, maybe the blood on my face didn't help.

Maisie should worry! Grin

Oldraver · 22/08/2017 22:47

So Ernie has been over the fence the last two nights...when we are not looking. Hav been trying to catch him to see where he is disappearing but I'm sure he actually watches to see if we are watching..

Currently waiting for him to come back. Dreading the first night he doesn't come home. OH nearly came home from work on Sunday Grin

In other news...I'm sure most of us have done something monumentely stupid they are WTF-ing for ages

Well I picked Ern up to kiss him and forgot until I tasted it that he had his de-wormer earlier...cue Googling Profender ingestion. Spent ages runing my tongue under the tap

AtSea1979 · 22/08/2017 22:55

I'm sure it won't make you ill! Might give you a good clear out though Wink

TheCatOfAthenry · 22/08/2017 23:33

Bisky is being fabulous.

He has piercing good looks but is a total blanket-sucking softie.

cozietoesie · 23/08/2017 00:04

Is he completely black?

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/08/2017 00:13

He is - had a lot of brownness (probably malnourished and discoloured) when we got him and his baby coat was full of lovely ghost stripes but he is now a slinky black number. Grin

cozietoesie · 23/08/2017 00:26

It's just - those ears. Made me wonder about his parentage. Wink

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/08/2017 00:29

What are you wondering about his parentage? His mum had fairly ordinary ears!

cozietoesie · 23/08/2017 00:29

Do you know who his Dad was? Smile

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/08/2017 00:31

Another black cat, I'm told, but we have no proof!

cozietoesie · 23/08/2017 00:37

He just looked a little Siamesey. Wink

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/08/2017 00:44

I wonder if he's part Burmese - very vocal and silky and muscular. Face just a teeny bit pointed too.

Temperament wise he follows me around like a shadow and walks a lot on his hind legs like a tiny human.

If only I could get him to stop weeing on any exposed smooth plastic, we'd be doing fine! (No actual medical issues causing same.) Grin

user95 · 23/08/2017 01:10

Oooo please can I join?! Grin

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/08/2017 01:49

Yes, we welcome new recruits to the Dark Side. Wink
