I think our kittens are all around the same age?

cozietoesie · 22/10/2017 18:49

Only 7 months ? She’s destined to be a big girl, I think. Smile

TheCatOfAthenry · 22/10/2017 19:17

My Biscuit is 6 months and already bigger than Cookie! And far heavier because he’s a muscular kitty.

Ducky is about a tenth of their size!

caoraich · 22/10/2017 19:42

Yeah Maisie will be 9 months at the end of the month. She's already as long as Freya but has a lot of filling out to do. Haven't managed to get her on the scales in ages- so wriggly!

cozietoesie · 22/10/2017 19:44

Destined to be like The Lodger. ( A ‘ lift with two hands and feet firmly braced’ sort of cat. Grin)

caoraich · 22/10/2017 19:58

I find scooping her up under one arm most effective Grin

She's also VERY chatty and more so in recent months- lots of funny chirping burbling noises. Freya mainly looks askance at her and occasionally bops her on the nose when she's being too noisy

In my brain Freya is Maggie Smith playing the Dowager Countess of Grantham, in cat form. Maisie is Robert Carlyle playing Begbie out of Trainspotting Grin

TheCatOfAthenry · 22/10/2017 20:21

We have a new word at home - befelinated. It means “occupied by cats”.

Example: Will you make me tea? I am befelinated.

EachandEveryone · 22/10/2017 20:27

My Dolly talks like mad I’ve never had cats before and Daphne is mute it’s very strange to me

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/10/2017 20:37

There's a lot to be said for mute cats. It's better than the "I'm home, you've shut the kitchen door & I'm trapped forever...I've done it, I'm out the kitchen, where are yooooou, I'll sit on the landing & miaow mournfully until you come to me" routine.

Interspersed with twanging door handles & thundering up the stairs like a herd of elephants.

Cats obstructing navigation downstairs

Cats posing by paintings of themselves and obstructing laundry cleaning

TheCatOfAthenry · 23/10/2017 07:28

@BulletFox they’re not obstructing - just reminding you of the important things in life. Wink

cozietoesie · 23/10/2017 11:34

That cat just knows its picture is being taken but is allowing a statement to be made. (Look at the tail.Grin)

Ha that's like the princess and the pea of cats Ollie Grin

Freya this morning - regally monitoring the house from position of authority.

Spoke to vet, poor Biscuit is all anxious! Zylkene for the poor jittery little adorable fecker!

Lanaorana2 · 23/10/2017 14:27

Rant: Mr C has broken EIGHT laptops since Xmas by jumping on them to get attention. Screens split, keyboards fly apart and keys ping off crazily. Even tho he is most spoilt cat in England served by the Little Woman What Does 24:7.

Now he's learnt to flick off the qwerty keys with his claw.

I might have some electronic goods left If he wasn't so fat.

Woe Grin

Ollivander84 · 23/10/2017 14:41

Just found the neighbours ancient, mostly blind and incredibly tolerant cat repeatedly whacking Ollie over the head with his paw. I figure he probably deserved it Grin

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 23/10/2017 15:04

How was Ollie reacting? Grin

Ollivander84 · 23/10/2017 15:14

Shouting loudly and indignantly

OP posts:
caoraich · 23/10/2017 15:41

I kind of love that Ollie was shouting rather than doing the more sensible thing of running away Grin

Lana you are very tolerant! After Maisie dropped a large and only recently deceased spider on my keyboard, followed by some sick, she is banned from computer access!

Ollivander84 · 23/10/2017 15:44

He could have easily come inside or run off but no, just sat there going "no no no no" at top volume while other cat is whacking his head like a whack a mole game. It seemed more friendly than actual fighting

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 23/10/2017 16:00

Then he was guilty. Of something. Grin

caoraich · 23/10/2017 17:53

Ahh yes cat whack-a-mole
Freya did that to maisie in the car en route home. While Freya, not maisie, yowled. Maisie just looked at me with ever-widening eyes.
