Oh Hermione! I would be leaping out of bed to stand to attention with that face Grin

Pixie how extremely sweet. Infuriating, but sweet.

Kibobear · 15/10/2017 23:57

She was sitting on my chest Grin

TheCatOfAthenry · 16/10/2017 20:32

Everyone, meet our foster cat Duck.

I love her and nobody else can have her and we're keeping her.

Now a forever cat.

Gorgeous wee soul. She still feels a bit uncertain, I think?

TheCatOfAthenry · 16/10/2017 20:41

Duck? She was suspicious because she hadn't been on the bed before, but purred almost throughout. Started kneading us and the blankets and presented her floofy tummy for rubs.

I love her so much!

Want2beme · 16/10/2017 20:55

The Cat she is adorable and nobody could resist that little face.

Weedsnseeds1 · 16/10/2017 21:11

How are you and the cat faring in the storm catofathenry?
I'm in Wexford for work at the moment and part of the hotel roof has blown off!

Lanaorana2 · 16/10/2017 21:16

Duck is a little lamb! Massive congratulations.

Weeds Blimey, best of British m'dear - are you all right, can you hunker down in a lovely safe gin-filled spot?

cozietoesie · 16/10/2017 21:38

Gosh. I’m surprised that Wexford is copping it. (I’d have expected it more in the South West.) Best of luck.

Weedsnseeds1 · 16/10/2017 21:40

Not really Lana I have to work tomorrow and will be a long day as the factory shut at 11 and sent everyone home because of the weather so will be on catch up to see production taking place!
It's only a bit off roof, but the power has gone out now Hmm

Want2beme · 16/10/2017 21:43

I've kept my girl in all day because of the storm and she is not a happy floof. She's been hollering at me and trying her best to persuade me to open the cat flap, but it ain't gonna happen.

dementedpixie · 16/10/2017 21:47

Cats were out earlier but have been in all afternoon and they're not impressed either. Will probably wake us at 4am to punish us!

Lanaorana2 · 16/10/2017 22:15

W the news just announced that schools are shut tomorrow as well. I hope when you turn up at factory someone is around to let you in.

I just thought to myself 'I know, she could have a lovely walk instead' :...?? Bloody Londoners eh - we don't do weather :) Maybe no work, but there must be an open pub.

Weedsnseeds1 · 16/10/2017 22:30

Lana Most places were shut by about 10am - shops, cafes, offices....
A lovely walk at the moment would probably get you decapitated by a lump of flying debris!
Cozie Wexford is a red alert county for the weather. Surprisingly Laois seems to have been hit hard too, as well as west coast. Even Dublin's had a battering.
I'm assumingcatofathenry is in Galway from her name, which has also been hard hit.

ocelot41 · 16/10/2017 22:38

Storm makes landfall in Scotland. Her Ladyship refuses to move from my feet.

Cat blob here in Dublin has slept through the whole thing. There are trees down where I live and power cuts half a mile away from me, but we're ok. The electricity is still on and the house is still intact.

Best of luck to anyone else going through the storm tonight.

Lanaorana2 · 16/10/2017 23:31

Bah, no succour there then. Massive cooked breakfast is what you need to face the day.

Want2beme · 17/10/2017 00:02

My cousin's up in Kells & she's been hearing sirens up & down her road all day. I'm in Tipp and have to admit I didn't think the wind would last this long. It's still on the bloody go, but the upstaits cat is keeping me company.

TheLongRider · 17/10/2017 00:23

Cat blob woke up half an hour ago and started shouting to go out. #FOMO

Fox-chasing grey cat has an appointment with the vet tomorrow that I've had to cancel because of the weather. The little blighter has got some sort of UTI and needs to see the vet. Argh!

cozietoesie · 17/10/2017 00:33

Things are hitting the windows and there is some banging and creaking. Newboy is very restless - more so than normal for him.

Ollivander84 · 17/10/2017 01:01

Ollie is whinging. Not abnormal Grin

We were lucky. Galway in general was bad but we're just about inland and on top of a hill.

I slept for most of yesterday, as did all 5 kitties - had been on a 24h shift Sunday! (Me, not the cats.)

Weedsnseeds1 · 17/10/2017 08:20

All calm in Wexford this morning! Glad everyone and everycat is OK
