Oh if I had the time I do would but with my shifts it's impossible I never know what I'm doing. Where did you get it from?

TheCatOfAthenry · 02/09/2017 17:18

I got it in a local pet shop but think it might be on Amazon too. Looks nice compared to most!

My hours are a bit funny too - have occasional 24 hour shifts, but shelter happy to work around me. Made some lovely cat friends and haven't been rejected by mine on returning. Grin

Well, we went to pick Ernie up and as we pulled up OH said he wondered if Ern would hear the car (it's quite distinctive and Ern runs when ever he hears it). OH did take his time reversing once or twice. We were early o popped round the side, to see Ern sitting in his window, though by the time we got into the cattery he had gone in his basket.

He did come running to me but shot a look to the guy running the place, though he is very wary of men so not unusual. Since he has been home he has been very, very attentive and keeps running to find us...I got woken at 3.30am by him touching my elbow and hand so I had to do his head rubbing thing, and I got pawed each time I stopped..He is currently being very loving

We had originally decided to keep him in for a few days but he was desperate to go out and sniffing under the door and doing his excited mouth open thing, so we let him out watching him. He did scarper over the fence, the first time I had actually caught him and he was quite graceful...(he has an injury to his leg).

Anyway we have decided that as he now can escape when he wants and is coming back, we're going to make it easier...so he has an Ernie hole in the temporary fencing which has been shortened.

Ern arriving home...DS bribing with Lick-e-lix and his fence hole. He

Awww. He got in his box by himself? Smile

Oldraver · 02/09/2017 20:34

Yea though I think it more he was probably hiding from 'the man'. It's a family run thing so not sure if they all take turns to go in and see to the cats, Ern isn't too enamoured with strangers anyway. He did come running out when he saw me.

And he's been making good use of his fence hole, been back and forwards all day, so doesn't sem too traumatised. And oh no we are not really thinking of sending him every couple of months

I love his thread! I check in every day and love hearing about all the gorgeous cats!

Sadly I don't have a cat but my parents do!!

My dad sent me a photo of him sunbathing... he's a huge tabby and white puddle of a cat and his name is Barney.

Lordy but that's a big cat. Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/09/2017 21:43

Cats know how to relax don't they?.

TheCatOfAthenry · 02/09/2017 22:00

Barney is fantastic!

Kibobear · 02/09/2017 22:21

Barney is a cat boss! He is fabulous.

Gierg · 03/09/2017 10:03

@cozietoesie He is huge! But very very soft :p He's a total comfort eater. Although recently he got a nasty infected bite on his back that put him off his food and he lost a wee bit of weight SadHe's better now and back to bothering everyone for food Wink my parents actually have a system to make sure they didn't accidentally double feed him, cos they're often out at different times, and the way he squeaks (he doesn't properly miaow unless he's in the box on the way to the V-E-T...) when he's hungry you'd think he'd never ever been fed in his life...

Oldraver · 03/09/2017 10:18

Barney is one heck of a cat...do you know how heavy he is ?

LostPlatypus · 03/09/2017 10:29

I lurk far too much so I figured I should finally introduce my little furry trouble-maker. She woke me up at 6am demanding attention by shoving her paw in my mouth. Hmm

This is Spooks.

Spooks is a beauty!

mynameisspam · 03/09/2017 11:04

Spooks is a definite boss cat and oscar is adorable!

You guys were right about Freya thinking I'd bumped off DP and taking it out on the wardrobe. In between sitting on his shoulder and adoringly nuzzling his beard she has slept angelically for the last 2 nights Grin

This is her back in her usual spot, me for making him get out of bed to get us breakfast

Meanwhile Maisie is at the other side of the leg divide thinking "I thought that was MY space now!"

Ollie is stropping at me because it's raining. He keeps sitting on the windowsill, shouting at me and then zooming off it. Repeat Hmm

Hugo has the most 'bury-your-face-in-it' tummy I've seen in a long time. Smile

Does he miss his sister?
