Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

In that case you'll know you're accepted when he leaves a "gift" for you, rather than eating it himself!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/08/2017 09:26

Or he might be saying 'first the mouse and then you human'.

Lanaorana2 · 04/08/2017 20:34

How high is the snack count today?

cozietoesie · 04/08/2017 20:51

He (somehow) was shut out of Club Tropicana so took offence. No mid-day snacking although he's made up for it since teatime. Smile

Good on that young man, I say. :)

Lanaorana2 · 05/08/2017 10:29

Mr C hassled me for food for 15 hours straight yesterday, having been sick on the clean sheets after breakfast.

I found myself saying crisply at 1am 'I want to see a CALM TAIL please not a barmy thwacky tail'

I fed him 7 times, for goodness' sake:)

cozietoesie · 05/08/2017 11:10

7??

I don't think I've ever fed a cat seven times in one day.

Small Siamese kitten has gone completely mad. So so fast and feisty!
New cat toy with suspected catnip has been removed for everyone's safety.

Siamese hunting is fierce Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/08/2017 11:24

I fed ours 6 times once, he hauled himself off then to sleep it off.

cozietoesie · 05/08/2017 11:30

Very fierce.

Well quite C. Even worse I went to bed convinced I had not given in until I counted the kitchen trips. Was working on pc, you lose track of time.

Mr C slept soundly as a tiny angel, little innocent baby kitten face on. Grin

cozietoesie · 05/08/2017 20:19

I'm only surprised he didn't also belch in his sleep. Grin

Ollie has been known to eat that many times Blush he looks at me like "rumbly tummy mama"
I figure he regulates himself. Unlike stable cat who had a HUGE belly today full of rabbit

cozietoesie · 05/08/2017 20:23

Look on the bright side. It wasn't dog.

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 05/08/2017 20:27

Yet Grin
It would be slightly more helpful if she would catch mice... Hmm and also not deposit stuff so people think their horses are bleeding to death

Lanaorana2 · 06/08/2017 11:06

Ollie Stablecat is a noble warrior, cat Boadicea.

C how was last night?

cozietoesie · 06/08/2017 13:35

Quiet. He's still sitting/sleeping in his hidey place.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 06/08/2017 14:13

He just spoke.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 06/08/2017 14:14

^ A demand for more food? :) That's wonderful - what does he sound like?

cozietoesie · 06/08/2017 14:15

Well I 'think' it was him. Either that or I have a serious problem with large rodents in the wainscoting! Grin

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 06/08/2017 14:29

When I went into Club Tropicana, he was hiding under a glass topped table. (I hate it but there you go.) He thinks I can't see him there. Wink

I'm excessively excited at Newboy's utterance! Keep the dialogue going and ask him an open ended question Cozie!

Lanaorana2 · 06/08/2017 16:10

cor! oooo!! yayaya!!! It's more exciting than First Contact in Close Encounters!!!

He called and you came! That is emotionally beautiful, sniff.

It is also a sign of the little lad's bravery and strength of character. Mr C approves madly.

Just remembered Mr C is due at vet in a fortnight. Frenziedly googling 'crash diets for cats'. Because that's going to happen.

cozietoesie · 06/08/2017 16:19

Oh he's brave all right. Gawd help any large rodents who actually are in the wainscoting! Grin

Let alone if Dbro timidly arrives bearing gifts at Xmas :)
