Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

OMG that would be around TWICE typical Siamese weight! I reckon he's around 5 kg...

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 11:54

Ollie is 4 and a bit kg. I'm going with 6.5kg for Newboy

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 11:57

I'll go for 5.1 since allergic stole 5.

Did the very weigh him?

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 11:59

Of course. (He was receiving lots of jabs - but they weight as a matter of course, there.)

3.8 kg. Smile

The vet said that he felt fine, weight-wise, but acknowledged that he was only lightly muscled.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 12:01

Ha Ha! Still a tiny boy!

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 12:03

Seniorboy put on weight when he came to live with me. Muscle weight it was.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/08/2017 12:06

Did you make him lift his food bowl or something? :)

There was a meezer where I grew up - an old style 'normal' cat sized one who was a big 'un. Had an appetite too and was a right scrounger. Hadn't read the meezer manual and rathee than bonding loved everybody in the area - was also as dumb as a box of rocks.

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 12:09

Lots of exercise. Smile

Secondcat was also likely pretty thick. He loved the world and his wife. Smile

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 12:12

Awww teeny boy!

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 13:03

He's leggy and elegant! (But the under-muscling tells on his weight, muscle weighing heavier than fat.) Smile

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 13:10

He's eaten his lunch. (Cold roast chicken.) I'm leaving him alone in his hidey place.

Aw, sorry the vet outing was a bit trying Cozie. Sounds as if Newboy's getting back into his (elegant) groove again though. Did you try him with the Zylkene?

I've got to round up my boys for their boosters - thought it was yesterday. Little M seems to quite like it and sees it as a chance to meet n greet and charm. MCat not so keen. Lots of "fun", slithering under the furniture to retrieve him.

Lanaorana2 · 01/08/2017 15:34

Good luck M. Tell them to Stop Messin Abaht!!!! in squealy tones if it starts looking rough.

Little M so sweet and social, Mcat hard to get as usual. Literally. :)

Newboy is a supermodel among kitties - a fine weight. Mind you I am used to 7 kilos of furry tabby, maintaining indignantly 'he's very big boned' to any churl impertinent enough to remark upon it.

We are having wafer thin mortadella for lunch. Blue plates, green glasses, oily tomato salad, bit of baguette still warm in middle, cloudy lemonade. To complete this image of simple elegance, Mr C looked well cute sitting on the dining table with mortadella hanging out of his mouth.

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 15:37

Laughing at big boned. My neighbour called Ollie a gobby little cat yesterday BlushGrin as he was stood in the middle of the houses screeching away

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 21:28

I'm used to the size of Siamese. I recall that once, when I tried to pick up The Lodger, I nearly had a conniption. He was so heavy! (And all muscle.)

OP posts:
Lanaorana2 · 01/08/2017 22:03

The size variance can be startling :)

Ollie your NDN has a flippin' cheek. Bet she loves him to bits tho'...

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 22:22

It rather sounds as if she does. Smile

Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 22:59

To be fair he was stood singing screaming with his eyes all squinted and one fang hanging out. I may have called him a gobby brat myself Blush

Lanaorana2 · 01/08/2017 23:31

GrinGrinGrin

We can laugh but Newboy will be up to this sort of caper sooner than one thinks...

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 23:44

Lordy. Please No. (He's done his spell in his tent and now seems quite chipper. )

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 23:51

Don't worry, I'll post Ollie over to cozie if she ever feels the need for a screeching neurotic clingy cat Wink

cozietoesie · 01/08/2017 23:54

Post? Grin

(I'll tell you all the tale of the Xmas chicken one day.Wink)

OP posts:
Ollivander84 · 01/08/2017 23:55

I might courier him Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/08/2017 08:27

Poor Ollie! There he is singing the song of his people and connecting with his primal self and wild ancestors and some dumb human calls him a "gobby little cat".
