Arghh! Fatty's jaw out again

Got home from a 12.5 hour shift and the jaw out. No idea how she's done it again. Despite keeping an eye on the spy camera. The specialist will see her tomorrow. Meanwhile she's at the local vet hospital having methadone to keep her comfortable because the orthopaedic surgeon wants to see her with it dislocated if possible. The vet is under strict instructions that she is to put it back in if she's in any pain at all. She wasn't happy but I still has to chase her round the house to get her in her basket. Hopefully we can get some answers this time.

Fantastic news. Get well soon puss.

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2017 00:08

Aw. Well done Fatty Smile. We need photos of her now. Please Grin.

Toddlerteaplease · 12/05/2017 09:00

Off to fetch the beast. The vet says she need to come home for a wee. She's refusing to use their litter tray. Hmmapparently she's bursting!

Toddlerteaplease · 12/05/2017 10:15

She's home. Seems fine. Has eaten a little and had a wee at the vets. She's not looking her prettiest though. I'm afraid I laughed at her.

So she decided to wee at the vets after all? Smile

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/05/2017 13:31

Oh Fatty Darling! Her fur looks so soft and fluffy. Did they brush and fluff her when she was under?

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2017 13:35

Oh bless her beautiful smooshy face. I am so glad she is home safe. Honestly, I am such a wuss - I'm sat in my car wiping away tears at that photo Blush. I am a menopausal old fool Grin.

Toddlerteaplease · 12/05/2017 13:36

No I've just brushed her. She's glad to home. Keeps jumping on the sofa to check I'm still there. The wound is tiny. Much smaller than I thought it would be. She apparently looked so distraught wearing her collar they took it off and she's been very good.

My MIL told me I should have Harry PTS when he broke his jaw as apparently I was 'cruel to keep him alive in that state'. It really upset me at the time but I was happy that the vet would tell me if that was the kindest option for him.

Glad Fatty is doing well.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/05/2017 13:38

She's beautiful. I do hope that she'll be OK now.

Weedsnseeds1 · 12/05/2017 13:57

Oh dear, that expression doesn't say "suffering" so much as "pissed off and plotting"!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/05/2017 13:59

I read it as 'suffering and going to milk this for all it's worth, slave!'

Toddlerteaplease · 12/05/2017 14:09

Weeds. I fear you are right. She's now lying with her head on my lap purring.

She's still keeping an eye on you though!
You laughed at her? Nice knowing you OP! Grin

cozietoesie · 12/05/2017 14:19

Lovely wee lass. Smile

Ollivander84 · 12/05/2017 14:29

That face is definitely plotting!

HemanOrSheRa · 12/05/2017 16:46

Aw. Look at her all snuggled up with you. That is lovely Smile.

ElizaDontlittle · 12/05/2017 17:01

Poor girly, she's maybe not beautiful but that is proper snuggly cat contentment right there! Hope she can eat and yawn and that her fur grows back quickly.

cozietoesie · 12/05/2017 17:03

Unfair, Eliza. Grin How would you look post op and with half your hair shaved off? Wink

Toddlerteaplease · 12/05/2017 17:13

She's just spend two hours snuggled in bed with me, having my pre night shift nap. My dad is coming to stay tonight. And maybe tomorrow night. But she's so much better than I thought she'd be. Just topped her her with some analgesia. Lots of purring and she's eating. Just wish the hospital had dispensed themetacam themselves as it would have gone on the bill. (The nurse said it costs more with them) Instead I had to get some from my vet and it cost £20 a bottle!!

cozie well I don't look beautiful anyway - at least Fatty will get her fur back and stitches out Grin
Actually I love that Toddler loves them whatever they look like (just frustrating that they are so 'desirable' in some quarters they were treated as they were) - how is the lovely girl this morning?
