Arghh! Fatty's jaw out again

Got home from a 12.5 hour shift and the jaw out. No idea how she's done it again. Despite keeping an eye on the spy camera. The specialist will see her tomorrow. Meanwhile she's at the local vet hospital having methadone to keep her comfortable because the orthopaedic surgeon wants to see her with it dislocated if possible. The vet is under strict instructions that she is to put it back in if she's in any pain at all. She wasn't happy but I still has to chase her round the house to get her in her basket. Hopefully we can get some answers this time.

I think she may be reserved already but I would get first refusal. Her name would be Moose. Need to phone the rescue later to update on fatty.

They aren't really identical though, only to other people. You would know which was which! Your vet would be delighted at the new customer I'm sure, he must be making a fortune from your insurers at the moment!

My sister said "oh another one to have these bizarre ailments then" She's probably already got a home lined up and thinking about it I'm not sure I want to upset the apple cart with these two troublesome creatures. I'd like some stress free time with them!

I like the proposed name :)

cozietoesie · 11/05/2017 08:33

So you're thinking 'Probably not'?

At least if she has a home lined up, you can do it in good conscienace. Smile

Moose is one of my all time favourite words. Fatty has been safely deposited at the Willows referral centre in Solihull for her surgery this morning. The vet nurse said that her surgeon also operated on her own dog, so that gives me confidence. I liked him immediately anyway. So happy she's in good haves. Apparently they have castles to hide under!

Cozie. Won't be in rescue long regardless of wether I take her. I'd love another one. I just don't want to upset the princesses. But they are ok with other cats. Apparently this one is quite lively. I thought a lively Persian is an oxymoron!

Snorg is being very clingy without madam. Think I'll just have to take her to work with me. I'll pop her in a cot! I wish!

When is the lass's op over?

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2017 13:16

I phoned a while ago and she was just having her pre med.

cozietoesie · 11/05/2017 13:40

A while yet then. Let us know how she does?

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2017 13:59

Will do. Got to work and my colleague suggested I should just put her to sleep. AngryAngryWas not happy with her. She's not suffering, and it's no reason to be that drastic.

Has she met the girl? And I take it it's just someone you work with and not someone you feel friendship for?

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2017 15:39

Ha ha my work colleagues all think that they are ugly! I'm very fond of her we all get on great. Told her if I thought for one moment she was suffering then I would.

UGLY? Shock

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/05/2017 15:44

JC on a pogostick some people can be fucking thoughtless pricks. All the best to Fatty-cat.

HemanOrSheRa · 11/05/2017 15:48

I think we've already decided your work colleagues are fools and your girls are not ugly. I banged my gavel very hard on another thread Grin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/05/2017 16:37

People are very insensitive about pets. Good luck to her.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2017 16:44

I'm quite surprised as she was just as soppy about her hideously ugly Yorkshire terrier with a bow in into hair!

Best of luck with your beautiful beasts! We went from two to three cats last year with few problems. The boys are pretty laid back and the new girl fit right in. We even had a foster cat over Christmas and again our cats just let her get on with it.

I've had up to six cats at one time and they do get used to being part of a multi-cat household. We made sure that they all had favourite spots that they could retreat to when necessary and they had access to the garden. Every cat is different and some like sharing whereas for some cats an island wouldn't be big enough.

Best of luck and if you do adopt Moose I look forward to the pictures.

Surgeon just phoned. She's just waking up. It was technically very difficult but he's taken plenty of bone away so there is nothing for it to catch on. He's put internal sutures in. So hopefully collect her tomorrow.

cozietoesie · 11/05/2017 17:11

Fingers crossed for her tonight then. Smile

Toddlerteaplease · 11/05/2017 20:10

Nurses just phoned with an update. She's fine. Not impressed with her inflatable collar and feeling sorry for her self. But has eaten. (Gobsmacked, she never ever eats at the vet).

Wow. Smile
