My alpha diva feigning disinterest in the 2 little snails on her wall. The little witch so & so ended a little sparrow's life this morning. Honestly, how did it stand a chance?

Sounds like my boy bogburgler, except he is trainable. Googled black Siberians and I reckon he would pass at a cat show, who knows what his genetic mix is though? He appears to have trained himself to use the loo if he doesn't fancy going out. Caught in the act a couple of days ago!

Clever lad. Smile

Lanaorana2 · 13/05/2017 22:39

Weeds that is total kitty genius.

Weedsnseeds1 · 13/05/2017 22:42

He does spend a lot of time escorting me to the loo, didn't realise he was picking up tips though! Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 13/05/2017 22:44

I've been blaming OH for not flushing!

Lanaorana2 · 13/05/2017 22:52

Grin Oh God, now I am shrieking with laffs. Regards to your poor DH Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 13/05/2017 22:56

He is not like other cats I have had! I have apologised to OH!

OldBooks · 13/05/2017 23:01

DCat looks like he is nursing a hangover tonight. Holding his head in his paw is his favourite sleeping position Smile

Heehee! I love Mr P Weeds, he is fabulous!

cozietoesie · 14/05/2017 00:02

How are you doing, Ollivander? Smile

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2017 00:07

Sore. That's the longest GA I've ever had (4hrs) and it turned out I had cauda equina as well as the huge bulging disc. My inch incision turned into over 3 inches Grin
Feeding him is interesting as I can't bend so I'm sort of throwing pouches in a bowl from a height!

cozietoesie · 14/05/2017 00:13

I shall have to look that one up! Blush

cozietoesie · 14/05/2017 00:15

And Ouch.

Have they established the cause?

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2017 00:18

No. Probably 28 years of horse riding, being tall and lugging muck/hay etc hasn't helped! I have about 12 stitches but it's taking a 22cm dressing to cover the length which gives you an idea of the size Grin

cozietoesie · 14/05/2017 00:21

Blimey.

What's the prognosis?

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2017 00:31

8 week recovery. No bending, lifting or twisting. I can start walking more as soon as I feel able but best to wait until stitches are out. Planning to be back in the saddle at 6-8 weeks

Sounds horrible ollivander stick to squeezing from a height, not worth doing your back in now you have had the surgery. Take it easy, watching Ollie's tantrums will pass the time nicely!
Heman he is too clever for his own good!

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2017 00:34

My recovery will be fine providing Ollie stops trying to kill me with his toys Grin

Squeezing cat food pouches. Just realised that comment was open to interpretation!

OldBooks · 14/05/2017 06:22

Is anyone else's DCat totally flummoxed by stairgates, even if you have seen them jump twice as high, particularly if salmon was involved?

Just delurking (with very apt username!) to say olli you can get raised cat food bowls, they are on sort of a frame with a long stick handle so you don't have to bend down. Can't link as on app but I'm sure a google would find them (even with my shit description!).

Hope you recover swiftly, I totally understand the desire to get back to normality but it really is worth being patient and not rushing it, give it the very best chance to heal well Flowers

Bogburglar75 · 14/05/2017 11:22

Ollie that sounds awful. Best wishes for a quick recovery. Would Olliecat be willing to be fed on a raised surface?

Weeds cat using the toilet is just awesome! Siberians are supposed to be quite bright nobody told BogCat so you could start pretending he's an honorary one Smile

Re stairgates, not mine I'm afraid. When we got BogCat as a 15 week old kitten the breeder told us to keep him to one room as he would be very scared and need time to adjust. So we duly put a mesh stair gate over the front room door so he could see and talk to us. Morning after his arrival, after several spirited attempts to ram raid it, small kitten came flying up and over the stair gate and informed us that this was now his territory and he was going to have a good look round, thank you so very much Grin
