Handsome Haggis. Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 01/05/2017 14:37

Oooh Haggis is very handsome. Those eyes Smile.

Gatekeeper · 01/05/2017 14:39

he's actually tiny- about a third smaller than Sherlock who is puffing himself up with indignation as we speak! Haggis is very vocal and answers if you speak to him Grin

Pompoms will come off and then he can live in the insulated shed- no point trying to get him to 'live in' as Sherlock will get the hump

Gatekeeper · 01/05/2017 14:41

it's like we've got some secret sign up 'soft touch humans live here'. As soon as ones gone (and we've rehomed three) then another turns up !

Bogburglar75 · 01/05/2017 14:47

Gosh, from the close up of his head I thought he was one of those really muscular massive toms! Insulated shed and devoted slaves sounds good - or will you be trying to find him a human house to move into?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/05/2017 14:47

I hope that Haggis finds a lovely home after he loses his pom poms ... how could anyone resist?

prettybird · 01/05/2017 15:42

Our two new kittens (well 7 month old cats) are currently "sunning" themselves in the shade Confused under a bush in the garden next door.

We've only just started the process of allowing them outside: we got them a month ago but as they'd been indoor cats, we had to give them a course of feline leukaemia jabs, so started the process of supervising trips outside last Wednesday.

Today they refusing to come back in and walked through bushes into the house next door's garden, so for the moment I've left our door open and am going to check them periodically.

Pictures are of their first trip outside last Wednesday.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 16:31

I trust that there are no 'neighbourhood cats'? Wink

Want2beme · 01/05/2017 16:37

Wow, I'd keep my eye on them. They're pretty stunning and very tempting to light-fingers not that I'd be tempted, of course

Lovely to see them together.

Want2beme · 01/05/2017 16:44

Yet, poor Simon's cat & the butterfly. Simon's got cat movements right down to a t.

prettybird · 01/05/2017 17:28

They're not very approachable yet - unlike our much missed cat who was a tart who would approach anyone and everyone for attention, a chat and a stroke.

Just been out again and had a bit of a panic as I couldn't see them: eventually one of them came to me through the bushes but I couldn't see the other one. But I could hear crows giving their warning caws in the trees in the next garden again over. Got one inside (but he's now learnt the cat flap and came back outside) and went calling for the other one. Eventually he appeared under next door's car and started making his way across the garden - being dive bombed by two crows! Shock

The two cats are now back together in our own garden - but still steadfastly refusing to come inside.

Cozietosie - there are neighbourhood cats but they're large gardens so not too much of an issue (yet).

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 17:30

Except they've already headed next door for the day/afternoon?

prettybird · 01/05/2017 17:37

It's worse than letting the apron strings go on your children! Wink

At least it's a sunny day.....

dementedpixie · 01/05/2017 17:47

My boys out in the garden today at the manky pond they drink out of. Dusty keeps going over the fence exploring but poor Storm can't quite get up the fence properly yet.

The good thing is that Siamese have a nice loud yowl Grin! And if you lose one, you can use the other one yowling to attract the lost one.

Vinorosso74 · 01/05/2017 18:34

We had to get a new vacuum today. Vinocat thought she would try out the box as a hidey place. Apparently it's a bit meh as she strolled out straight after I took the picture.

Kittens are finally in. 6 and a half hours after they went out. Hmm

I think we'll shut the cat flap tonight Grin

Albadross · 01/05/2017 22:22

So DH was cooking last night and heard a kerfuffle at the cat flap / thinking it was fat evil cat from across the road having a go at the microchip flap again he went to check and found Albacat trying to bring an entire bird's nest in the house Confused

Apparently when he prized it from his jaws he got a few choice cat words!

Came downstairs to a consolation prize of a half-mauled mouse though.

Ouch. We're there any fledglings in it?

EachandEveryone · 02/05/2017 07:00

One last play before I go to work. Back on days 12 hours. I'll leave the telly on I think.

Argh!

Today Maisie has got bright green sharpie all over her lovely white paw.

Any advice on de-permanent-penning a kitten? [shocked]

(I am particularly anxious as she's going to get her microchip on Friday and we might get the Judgey Vet)

HemanOrSheRa · 02/05/2017 09:19

Hehe! It's better than poo and sick cao. I should imagine that she may groom it back to an unnoticeable shade by Friday? Possibly? Confused. I'd leave it. I'm sure the vets have seen worse! Smile.

RubbishMantra · 02/05/2017 11:23

Well, it is Easter Albadross.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/05/2017 11:40

Perhaps restrict her to crayons until she is a little older?

Bogburglar75 · 02/05/2017 12:04

Baby wipes?
