Heading home this afternoon to receive Bogbastards verdict on the pet sitter. I've been at a weekend sports event with 8yo DD who has had a ball but is now insanely overtired, and still has a five hour train journey ... so between her and the cat I don't fancy my chances this evening Grin

Euphrasie has been spayed. She is subdued and a bit sad. She'll cheer up when she realises that after 7 months of waiting, she can Go Outside.

Oh she is beautiful - love a little tortoiseshell. My gran had one who ruled with a rod of iron.

I'm sure it will be worth it once she realises Outside is an option.

Colin insists on taking his food out of his dish and eating it on his lounger/scratcher! It is very hard to get out of the corrugations.
Trevor is still timid but enjoys his egg cup of milk every morning.
Mavis is still mad ...

Colin is a scrumptious boy grey. He looks nice and squishy Smile.

Aw. Bless her Show. Her little shaved tummy. Such a sweet face. Still, she will be able to enjoy a summer OUTSIDE Smile. Good Times!

Oh dear oh dear

Freya and Maisie have been on holiday at my parents' house (grandcatparents?) while we got some work done. All went very well, many cute photos. Wonderful parents offered to drive them home to me today as I've got a nasty cold.

Of course, this journey was the first ever time Maisie chose to be travel sick. She sicked, then pooed on herself and poor mum and dad had to stop at services, wrangle pooey maisie into freya's carrier and clean her up with wet wipes as best as they could. 20 miles further along the road maisie upchucked on freya, freya then upchucked on maisie and at that point my dad apparently just put his foot down!!

Rushed them both into the bathroom for a good scrubbing and now I have to figure out how to wash two sick-infused fabric cat carriers!

caoraich · 30/04/2017 17:03

They're dry and cosy now but were NOT impressed when I took this!

Jeepers! cao! How awful Sad. Are you still in one piece? The cats look OK, if slightly traumatised.

The weather is awful here today. Pip is an old hand at rainy days and has gone to bed with a catnip toy and one of DS's green socks. Frankie is a young lad and is sulking Grin.

And that's why I use non-fabric carriers. Albeit with big fluffy towels inside.

How are they doing? Smile

caoraich · 30/04/2017 17:55

Herman amazingly they both submitted to a thorough bath dunking without objection- obviously they realised it was for the best.
No scratches though I did get a bit damp.
Cozie they are significantly better!
They have eaten, drank and are now sleeping on a cosy blanket. I've always found the fabric ones good as they can see where they're going - this is the first sicky incident we've had! Fingers crossed they just set off too soon after breakfast....

Weedsnseeds1 · 30/04/2017 18:04

I'd hose the worst if it off outside, then bung in the washing machine I think caoraich . Hard carrier and towel here too, he can see out the grid at the front if he wants too, although he generally opts for carefully placing the towel on his head and going to sleep!

HemanOrSheRa · 30/04/2017 18:12

I liked my fabric carrier due to it being foldable for storage. But I gave it to a lady in work who was being made homeless in work Sad. It was all very distressing and she appeared, ready to leave, with her cat in a shopping trolley. It clearly wasn't going to work and was making things worse. (She had somewhere else to go, she just needed to leave).

Glad you are in one piece cao Smile. And glad your babies are ok too Smile.

caoraich · 30/04/2017 18:15

Yeah I've hosed and soaking them in a big bucket of water now.
We have this one which I can dismantle and put in the machine -
www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/cat/cat-flaps--carriers-and-kennels/cat-carriers/pets-at-home-fabric-dog-kennel-grey-print-small

But this is the new one for kitten and it's a bit more rigid, hopefully a good soak and sponging and leaving it on the line to dry will be OK

www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/puppy/puppy-travel/puppy-carriers/cream-fabric-carrier

(I am not being paid by pets at home!!)

The top one works really well with a cushion in as a nice bed btw- all our cats have liked snuggling in there!

HemanOrSheRa · 30/04/2017 18:27

Does he Weeds? GrinThat is so cute. I need a big floofy cat.

RubbishMantra · 30/04/2017 20:00

Studies of a Fang, ooh, sounds Francis Bacon-esque! I'd go to see it at the Tate - especially paired with those slightly mad eyes of his. I certainly wouldn't want to owe Ollie money. Grin

MCat trying to steal my ham sandwich. Again. (I do actually feed him and his food bowls are topped up.) He's just taking the piss really.

cozietoesie · 30/04/2017 20:03

I'd be happy enough to owe Ollie money, actually.

But as for Stablecat...................Grin

Lanaorana2 · 30/04/2017 20:34

I wouldn't fancy owing MCat more than 60p, which as he and I both know, is the price of Tesco value ham Grin

Whereas Little M would be like the Bingleys in Pride and Prej, adored by all and perpetually skint thanks to generosity.

Someone donated a giant cobra at the charity shop today. Dead, which was something of a relief. The skin is about a mile long. I'm still in recovery from the bus home, which Hissing Sid & I had to take as rare species are illegal on shop premises.

If the Nat Hist don't want him, I'll offer him up on here as a pet toy.

cozietoesie · 30/04/2017 20:38

Stuffed or not? Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 30/04/2017 20:50

Are you absolutely sure Mr C wanted to read Lana? He has a look about him that I'm not sure about. Keep posting my dear so we know you are still alive. And please get rid of the snake skin thing or else I'll have to take off your hands, like, for DS. It'll beat the real life one that he is pleading for. Weird child that he is.

Lanaorana2 · 30/04/2017 20:51

Skinned, C. Vegan Val, who is a stalwart volunteer, had hysterics. I had to promise her would try to redeem the death of such a noble beast, so I am trying to send Sid off for research somewhere. He is a very big boy.

Lanaorana2 · 30/04/2017 20:53

Heman you are welcome if the Nat Hist say no. It's about a mile long. Oh come on, get a proper snake, they are brilliant and live for ages, will see all your DC through adulthood and marriage. Also nice and quiet.

HemanOrSheRa · 30/04/2017 21:10

YOU! I know your sort Lana. Stop it! Grin
