......will one day falter.

I'm afraid that Seniorboy died late this afternoon. At the vet's. I have some very very fine whisky waiting to salute him with and I am just going to go and light a candle for him. I probably won't be around for a few days - or if I am, you'll have to bear with some rather tipsy posting.

My Darling old lad.

Thank you, MsHoolies. Smile

You're welcome. You were discussed in very warm terms Flowers

Puzzledandpissedoff · 01/04/2017 18:38

Well Newboy - whomsoever he may be - has some big boots to fill right enough

He does indeed, but what a wonderful future home one of them will have Flowers

I don't post on the Litter Tray all that often, so have only just seen your post ... I can't say how sorry I am, or how much I feel for you, but my god what a life you gave that beautiful cat!!

cozietoesie · 01/04/2017 18:47

Newboy will wear his own boots, I reckon. I haven't met him yet - indeed, he may be no more than a twinkle in his Dad's eyes right now but - we'll see. Smile

Newboy is a beautiful name Cozie. Just saying.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2017 18:58

I can't imagine you without a cat.

SanFranBear · 01/04/2017 19:59

I was at the MN meetup with MsHoolie and the number if ladies round the table who reacted when they realised SeniorBoy had gone was quite something.

Thinking of you and your legendary gorgeous boy! WineFlowers < that's whiskey obviously x

Nicotina · 01/04/2017 20:07

So sorry. Never met you or Seniorboy obviously but your anecdotes and word of wisdom about him have been a constant source of humour and useful info for us.
Thank you for sharing- and there isn't an ounce of sarcasm or other nonsense when I say that.

limitedperiodonly · 01/04/2017 20:38

I heard today. I am so sorry for you Cozie. Thank you for all the advice you gave me about Nobby. They're truly special cats, aren't they?

Bless Seniorboy.

RubbishMantra · 01/04/2017 22:41

Hope you're OK tonight Cozie.

cozietoesie · 01/04/2017 22:48

I 'think' I am. I was brought flowers today - first time in years someone has brought me flowers without lilies as well. Ho Hum.

OP posts:
LanaorAna1 · 02/04/2017 12:10

Oh Cozie. Hope you got some kip and the blooms are being springlike for you. There is a lot of Spirit of Seniorboy in an exuberant bouquet, I would think - his merry zest for life and love.

Have you managed to go for a little walk? Might be an idea to get out of the house for a spot of April sun and a coffee.

Me facing a second GP visit in 10 days thanks to pet injuries. I dread to think what variety of WMD I would use to represent Mr C's tender soul. Grin

Take it easy on this nice Sunday - well, it is beaming with sun here in SW4, hope even better with you.

EachandEveryone · 02/04/2017 15:12

My work colleague is obbsessed with Siamese and has to be restrained from taking anymore in. Its got to the point were she wont have her parents visit anymore incase they spot another one! Ive never met one in real life but they sound very special indeed. I dont think i could cope with an intelligent cat though its bad enough running around after a daft one.

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 20:26

They are very special, although you sometimes need to be used to them. I used to worry about The Lodger because he was so quiet compared to Seniorboy that I almost though he was ill! Grin

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 02/04/2017 22:07

Just checking in to see how you're doing.

Has The Lodger moved back in?

And I thought Ls suggestion re. Newboy was most excellent... but how about ?

RubbishMantra · 02/04/2017 22:13

The Numan was my first crush btw. Well first human one. My first crush was Ernie from Sesame Street. I hated the programme and only watched it to get a glimpse of him. I hated Bert with a passion - the bully Confused

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:23

No. The Lodger is 'out' permanently. (Well, more or less permanently.) I'm not too bad, thanks. I still have my time clock synced with Seniorboy's needs so I find myself automatically thinking such things as '8 o'clock - time for 'pudding''. And then kick myself.

That's just me though - I don't feel his presence at all in the house.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 02/04/2017 22:35

I know what you mean about not feeling his presence. I expected to, when I had my loss. But I do get small snatches of being watched over.

And thanks to you and Seniorboy, I will always associate ham with pudding. Smile

cozietoesie · 02/04/2017 22:40

Candles help hugely for some reason. (I don't know why.) I've lit three for him so far.

HemanOrSheRa · 02/04/2017 23:00

I loved Bert and Ernie from Sesame St. They were like my Nan and Pamps Grin. Pamps name was Ernest.

I have been serving LickELix as pudding at Seniorboy's suggestion for a few weeks now. Frankie is very happy about that Smile.

I had a huge crush on Gary Numan when I was 13. I feel a bit tingly watching that Blush

iloveeverykindofcat · 03/04/2017 05:25

My chubby kitties aren't allowed treats, but I am going to feed Tom some LickELix in Seniorboy's honour.

RubbishMantra · 03/04/2017 06:39

Wishing you a good day, or at best, an OK day Cozie.
