He was not convinced by the cat sitter Blush
Mainly sat by me staring at me and blinking
When I said "it's ok" he moved towards her but that's it

Mermaidinthesea123 · 05/04/2017 18:45

I have not yet found the rogue turd, I am getting desperate now as the lodger will be back tomorrow and hates that kind of smell.
i need to borrow a dog!!!

ElizaDontlittle · 05/04/2017 19:30

Poor Ringo! I used to cats it for a neighbour with a white cat and the highlight of a sunny morning Hmm was catching it and putting factor 50 on its ears.

Mine has been avoiding me, I've hardly seen her and I've only been out for an hour - which is very out of character as she is very sociable and very attached usually.

HemanOrSheRa · 05/04/2017 19:35

Oh dear Mermaid Confused. That's the trouble with cat poop, isn't it? It's all pervading so difficult to know where the whiff is coming from.

I would say that was a success Olli! We had a friend cat sit last year who had only seen a fleeting glance of Frankie as he is such a scaredy cat. We had to show the cat sitter photos to make sure he was feeding the right cat!

cozietoesie · 05/04/2017 19:44

Mermaid

Have you been down on hands and knees and looked horizontally on the floors?

Also - Sorry - have you checked the soles of any shoes in use?

RubbishMantra · 05/04/2017 20:27

MCat's just sat and stared at me for the last 3 hours. And not in a loving way. The expression said - murderous intentions, and was wondering if I'd bequeathed anything to him into my will.

Was quite unsettling.

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2017 20:37

I feel abit sick really trying not to panic, as you know i live in an urban area to say the least. She ran out just as it was getting dark and i tried to ignore it. Put my head out the kitchen window and shes jumped accross four garages and its turned pitch black. Just before it got dark i could see the shadow of her playing with some builders clean washing. I dont want to shout out the kitchen window as shes not big enough to jump in and i dont want her to go the other way and jump from the garage onto the road. Im sat in deep breathing reminding myself that dave next door is 16 and happily stays out all night.

HemanOrSheRa · 05/04/2017 20:51

The evenings are getting lighter and the days are warmer Each. Try not to panic. Lots of cats are getting more active at this time of year. Has she been out before or has she escaped?

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2017 20:59

Imagine a big flat above a shop in a busy part of london thats us. She goes out when im home i leave the door open and she goes out in 15 minute bursts or if im getting ready for work on a morning. She akways runs back in to ight she was very bold though. We are quite high up and have rows of garages down the back so shed jumped from one to another i dont think shes ever been on the ground. That will freak me out. Theres no traffic just lots of stationary cars getting repaired!

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2017 21:05

I'm not particularly impressed she's gone straight to bed ignoring her blanket and lying on me clean sheets. Proper ignored me!

She's back in?! Hehe! Naughty girlie Grin. We live in a flat in a very unusual set up Each. I wish I could show you the things that my cats have done Smile.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/04/2017 21:16

Well she's probably tired after all that.

Weedsnseeds1 · 05/04/2017 21:16

On holiday with us for a few days and highly approving of the under floor heating!

HemanOrSheRa · 05/04/2017 21:33

Ooh. He's a smooshy, floofy bigboy Weeds. Do you actually take him on holidays?

I love this thread. It should be renamed and pinned as Dingit's Cat Chat or something. Just somewhere that mad cat people can share. I find the Dog House a bit scary Blush.

RitaMills · 05/04/2017 22:07

Snoozing on the couch after a busy day bullying the cat next door and climbing trees.

Yes heman, we're in a lovely calving pen conversion on the edge of Dartmoor at the moment and we're going to the seaside for Easter! There were a couple of paw print fleeces and a bag of Dreamies from the owner waiting for him when we arrived. He's their first cat guest ( normally get dogs), so they're quite excitedSmile

Trustyourself2 · 06/04/2017 10:04

Each, one of mine went out at a different time to normal yesterday evening and I couldn't eat dinner cos of worrying where she was. I keep telling myself it's cos of lighter evenings, as HemanOrSheRa said. Lo and behold, she arrived back, hollering for treats.

RitaMills, looks absolutely shattered, poor lovely.

Oldraver · 06/04/2017 10:44

Eliza you are so right...Ernie's new blankie (well didnt buy any new in the end as had enough) was initially rejected...though he has come round. He was trying to get under what's left of the old piece but it's covered in stones still.

The last two days he has been on dogwatch...I think next door have a puppy and he has had its nose twice making it yelp

Is he a youngster, Fanny? Smile

FannyFifer · 06/04/2017 12:56

He's 3 so youngish, he's lost a bit of weight due to being on hunger strike for a week & actually looks a lot better for it.

cozietoesie · 06/04/2017 13:13

He has a young look to him. Smile

Oldraver · 06/04/2017 13:31

She had the look of going outside but heard someone using a grass strimmer 6 streets away to shot off upstairs.
