A friend has offered us first dibs on a kitten. Which shall we choose (with pictures)?

We can't agree. DS likes the black one, DD and DH the pretty one with the ginger smudge and I like the other two.

Glad it's probably nothing I've done cozie and that I'm not alone Show, mine sleeps in the bath Grin

Myredrose · 06/10/2016 22:03

My black one is like a little dog, never leaves my side. I took her in as a result of someone posting about finding her half dead in the road in London as a stray.
She knows to stay close to me now.

IAmAPaleontologist · 06/10/2016 22:09

Of course whichever cat you get will be wonderful. All cats are wonderful, even the grumpy ones. Mine is currently preventing me from going to bed because he decided he needed snuggles and his need is greater than mine.

The ginger striped tiger

catbrushblanket · 06/10/2016 22:31

Ginger! ginger boys are the best cats

ShowOfHands · 07/10/2016 17:19

I've been overruled and we're having the calico. She's going to be called Euphrasie. She's the friendliest and happiest to be cuddled. DS wants the black one but he's very cross and hisses a lot (the cat but ds too sometimes). The calico is a better fit.

I'll post more pictures when she's home Smile

Euphrasie has been with us for nearly a year. She's a funny wee thing, never miaows and purrs silently. We love her very much.

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 27/11/2017 19:36

Ha- I'm such an idiot I missed this was an old thread- sorry!

She's a beautiful girl 😻

MonaChopsis · 28/11/2017 16:13

Lovely update Show, nice to see her all grown up!

TheHodgeHeg · 01/12/2017 00:59

She's so pretty!

Lancelottie · 01/12/2017 16:03

Must be time for another kitten/cat/how they grew thread!

(I'd love to put up photos of OldCat as a kitten, but given it was 20 years ago, we don't seem to have any photos. I need kitten photos.)

Acrosstheuniverse123 · 03/12/2017 10:42

ginger

Eenymeeny123 · 05/12/2017 18:49

Oh she is beautiful and her markings are great. I wonder how the other 3 got on.

cozietoesie · 07/12/2017 14:53

Tremendously self-assured. And those claws look like 'working talons'. Is she a mouser? Smile

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/12/2017 18:41

There's only one solution you'll have to take them all. I mean look at all those gorgeous mushy adorable faces. It's an impossible decision

BulletFox · 08/12/2017 19:43

Show she's gorgeous.

nooka · 08/12/2017 19:54

Oh she is a good looking cat. How nice to see kitten and grown up pictures together.

ShowOfHands · 27/10/2023 15:26

Euphrasie is 7 now and the most wonderful mix of shy and opportunistic. She's a pacifist and apart from bringing us live birds occasionally or patting a spider for fun, I don't think she's ever killed anything in her life. She never goes further than our garden gate either.

She's still entirely silent and is my cat. She merely tolerates everybody else but follows me wherever I go.

Anyway, I was feeling nostalgic about when she first came to live with us. DH deployed abroad as she arrived and she kept me sane for those 6 months. I'm so glad we rescued/rehomed her. I thought I'd share her still pretty mug with you all.

She’s beautiful, our first cat was a tortoiseshell with white bib and paws. Her fur was brindle and her skin (when it was shaved for spaying or surgery) was pink with black spots like an ocelot.
Current pair are black bro/sis now 5yo

I realise now this is a very old thread but as it’s Black Cat Day I recommend the black cat 🤣

I've had several black cats in my time and they were all magnificent.

Euphrasie has ocelot skin too as we discovered when she was spayed.
