@YorkshireFelix I meant for trying to walk V on. It has double attachment points and is meant to give you more control over lunging and pulling. Happy to post it to you if you want to give it a try.

I haven't got the instructions any more, but there are videos on YouTube showing how to fit and use it.

@YorkshireFelix @SpanielsGalore I've got one of those, it's great - incredibly lightweight too. He's got a bit shy of it the last couple of days so I'm swapping him back to the Perfect Fit for a bit but it was a godsend at first. You can clip one end at the back and then you sort of loop the other end through one side fitting, the centre ring, and then clip it to the other side fitting, and it works like reins. Better to use it two-handed like that though.

I'm posting it 'set up' so to speak, but I'm not sure it will help @YorkshireFelix work it out. I threw away the instructions years ago and the website didn't seem particularly helpful when I looked yesterday. Fortunately there are videos on YouTube. It's more complicated to explain than it is to use.
I'm glad it helped for Bill. It worked really well for one of mine, but not so much for another one. He used to pull so badly his chest was on the ground though.

He’s recently discovered cigars but I do insist he can only smoke in the garden.

Took K for a wet walk in the woods and met the GR puppy again. They had a whale of a time running round, until his owner put him on his lead to calm down. Then K had a whale of a time running round on her own and the GR choked himself on his slip lead trying to follow her in amongst the trees. I put K on her lead in the end, but it didn't help much. She mooched and sniffed. The GR pulled and strained.
And not being judgemental or anything (Obviously I am or I wouldn't preface my next comment with it) but the puppy has the same name as the man's previous GR. I did that with my hamsters as a child, but I can't imagine doing it with dogs as an adult. I know the dog doesn't care, so it doesn't really matter. I just found it a bit sad.

That is sad @SpanielsGalore . Dogs and cats are all such unique characters, they deserve their own name. But it's lovely that K had had a nice run around with another dog.
