Where does your dog sleep?

We’re getting a dog soon, and will be setting up her bed in the kitchen-tucked away and nice and calm-like a crate. But wondered how many folks let their dogs sleep
upstairs at night?

Downstairs in the kitchen. By day he’s allowed on the sofa in the snug but he’s not allowed upstairs. Ever. I give him all the cuddles he could possibly need in the evenings on the sofa but the idea of him sharing my bed is quite frankly minging.
