Name for a golden retriever puppy

Ok this is my second dog thread in one day but I’m excited.

Having trouble agreeing on a name for a golden retriever girl puppy. Not keen on the most popular names like Molly, Daisy, Nala, Bessie etc, they’re nice but a bit blah. But equally don’t need anything too “you-neeque”.

Our list at the moment, with suggestions from the whole family, is:

I like old lady/men names for dogs.

I have an Olive and an Ivy. I know of two dogs in the park called Trevor and Ernie and a mate of mine has a dog called Colin.

I also know a boxer called Dave 😆

She's a little beauty !!! How about Maja (pronounced My-ya). I think it suits her.

I like Bonnie, Piper and Skye. Bonnie the best, as she is a bonnie lass.

If I remember rightly two Blue Peter's Goldens , the first one called Goldie and Bonnie was the second , or there was a Petra a long long time ago . Actually wasn't there a statue of Petra outside BBC studios ?

@DisplayPurposesOnly Ahh right , Petra was before my time but I knew there was a statue . I didn't have any pets when I was young so I would enjoy watching Blue peter just for the Animals and of course they let the viewers name the dogs ,so the kids named the Retriever and they called her Goldie 😆🙄. Who could have predicted that one lol .

She's gorgeous. Love Crumble and she's the colour that an apple crumble should be.

I like Nellie (probably because I have a male Goldie called Nelson) and my dog's mum was called Barley which was lovely because she was a deep golden colour.

She is beautiful 😍. What about Duffy, Cider (with/or) Rosie, Harlow

I’m just going to vote for Buffy…. Good name, could shout it loudly as doggo frantically runs towards mud/other dog/strangers/kids playing football/wherever you don’t want her!!

Shoutability is important in a dog name…..
