Is your dog cuddly? Do they like affection?

Maggie (3 year old border collie) loves nothing more than sitting next to us on the sofa then leaning in for a cuddle. She even puts her ‘arms’ around us to hug us. It’s usually accompanied by sloppy kisses!

Basset Hound owner here. If we aren't giving her attention she'll climb on our lap and start pawing at us. She grumbles and stomps her back paws till she gets a cuddle.

Springer Spaniel here he's only cuddly on his on terms usually when he's tired and with DH.

Very cuddly dog here too, and cuddles (or needs to be close to) different people depending on the time of day. Weekend mornings he is all mine, evenings he transfers over to DH and all bets are off when teenage DS honours us with his presence in the lounge

Yep. As username suggests, I have a pug. If I am on the sofa, she is on me. If I'm working she's in the bed that's next to my desk.

Lhasa apso here will never sit on the floor or sofa if there is an available lap to sit on and then she keeps nudging your arm until you are stroking her.

We have pugs too - they fight over who sits on my lap, sometimes lying on top of each other so they are both on my knee at once. They put their little paws around me for a cuddle too. Needy but the BEST!

My Beefie is very soft and cuddly

We have a 15 month old rescue pup. She's adorable but only likes a cuddle in the morning or when you return home. She puts her arms out to you and rolls on her back or leaps up and puts her arms around your neck (she's long!)

Other times she refuses cuddles. Always needs to be near us but never on us or next to us. She doesn't like strokes much either. It makes us sad she's not a cuddly pup but we don't know what she's been through and they all have their own personalities. She may grow into cuddles!

Yes, I've had 2 cuddly Lhasa Apsos. DB commented, "They're like cats" when he first met them. He's more used to cats.

2 x staffies, both love to snuggle, especially under a blanket. 3 more seats empty but always choose to cuddle than lie alone.

My smoothie Cockapoo is so cuddly. I feel cheated if I don't get my cuddle first thing as it's regular as clockwork, and throughout the day. I wish I could spend all day cuddling her. It's so lovely
