What kibble do you use?

We’ve just moved ours off AVA onto Arden Grange sensitive fish.

What do you use kibble wise? (No raw bores)

We use Millie's wolf heart utility range. We are somewhat limited due to sensitivities/allergy's.

ChiefPearlClutcher · 15/02/2022 07:32

Orijen but is out of stock/expensive of late, second choice Aatu or Acana in a pinch

fairylightsandwaxmelts · 15/02/2022 07:40

Harringtons.

GuyFawkesDay · 15/02/2022 07:42

Eden.

Amazing stuff. Trainer saws he'd feed it if he wasn't on raw, it's as close as you can get with kibble. Pup is thriving on it and has an amazing coat

RaininSummer · 15/02/2022 07:45

Harringtons

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 15/02/2022 07:49

Fishmonger’s Finest salmon and potato for small dogs. He’s been on it for years and it really suits him. Bags of energy, shiny eyes, wet nose, perfect poos and minimal wind. Always eats it. What more could you ask for? They also do it for bigger dogs.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 15/02/2022 07:50

It’s Pets at Home’s own brand and often with on offer.

thesunwillout · 15/02/2022 07:52

James Wellbeloved turkey and rice.

Juanbablo · 15/02/2022 07:54

Barking Heads. It's the only thing fussy terrier will eat.

IsThisAkissingBook · 15/02/2022 07:57

Royal canin chihuahua.

Jagley · 15/02/2022 08:11

One has AVA sensitive skin and stomach, and one has the AVA small breed.

MrsBungle · 15/02/2022 08:14

Harrington’s. I tried so many expensive brands and they either didn’t agree with her or she refused to eat them. One day I just picked up Harrington’s from the co-op. She actually likes it and it doesn’t set off her colitis.

My rescue dog wouldn't eat any wet or dry food with much enthusiasm. Even Butterbox. Confused We got a sample of this and she wolfed it down.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 15/02/2022 08:16

Acana or Orijen, they are sister companies and it is the highest quality kibble out there, not cheap, but it always gets eaten and my dogs have thrived on it for years.

PaolaNeri · 15/02/2022 08:20

Went from Ava as mine stopped eating it, to Canagan (half kibble, half wet). Good quality and lots of flavours. I have a rescue Frenchie and it hasn't upset her stomach or irritated her skin.

HeresMyName1 · 15/02/2022 08:21

Orijen or Eden. For those who haven’t checked their food in dog food comparison websites it can be helpful doing so as for example Royal Canin gets very low scores nutritionally .

Auntieobem · 15/02/2022 08:21

Scrumbles salmon with prebiotics

alwayswrighty · 15/02/2022 08:22

Tribal is also supposed to be excellent although I'm a raw bore

Petalpup · 15/02/2022 08:26

Burgess supadog sensitive. She loves the salmon version. Coat, teeth and poo all good

Last dog ate it for 14 years with barely a vet visit.
Easy to buy on Amazon and not expensive.

Personally I think that’s everything you need from a food.
She gets occasional treats and healthy human food on top so all good.

HanSB · 15/02/2022 08:30

Orijen is best quality but we moved over to raw which seems better than any kibble, using a complete mix

Tubbyinthehottub · 15/02/2022 08:32

I'm a raw bore but my dog has Walker and Drake cold pressed biscuits for lunch. She also really likes their treats.

OhToBeinDeutschland · 15/02/2022 08:34

I’m a raw bore too, but we use Tribal if we go away/for treats. Great stuff

Inastatus · 15/02/2022 08:36

Orijen - according to the Allaboutdogfood site it’s the best dry food. We used to use Millies Wolfheart which is also very good but Orijen comes out slightly better nutritionally.

collieresponder88 · 15/02/2022 08:38

Tails.com or Harrington's

EdithStourton · 15/02/2022 08:39

Skinner's Field and Trial. The younger dog goes through phases of not wanting it, but she's like this with every kibble, even Gentle which I tried in the hope she'd just tuck in and stop being a pita.

The other dog inhales it.
