Aaaaagh, rescue called me back about a dog!

I'm trying really hard not to get over-excited!

Even though DH and I have agreed to wait till we move to a bigger house in a couple of years, I still keep an eye on local rescues, just in case the "perfect" dog for us appears - and last week, he did.

I called the rescue expecting him to have been already snapped up, but no, he's still available. I had a phone interview, and send them a video of our street, house and garden, and I'm waiting to hear.

I know it might not come to anything - I haven't even told the DC, and won't unless the rescue want us to meet him, but god, I hope they chose us. He just sounds like the most perfect boy for us!

His name is Eddie, he's around 12-18 months, he's playful and sweet-natured, great with kids, not bothered by cats, friendly with other dogs (there are dogs in the wider family), and small to medium in size.

Looks-wise, he's basically Doug from Up! 😍

Sometimes fate lends a hand.
Or even a paw in these things. We got an adult ddog when least expected over 4 years ago...

Yes, he's agreed we shouldn't let the perfect dog pass us by for the sake of a year or two.

After I sent in my house video, they sent me some videos of Eddie.

Yay! Happy thread! Hope you get him OP. Eddie is a great name, it's what I called my can who I hand reared from 2days old :) he passed away a couple of year ago aged 11, but he was lovely too!

I was thinking if I got him we might tweak the name a bit and call him Teddy.

I quite like the Fraiser reference of Eddie, but Teddy is a bit "softer" and goes better with our cat's name (Casper).
