I lost my beautiful bc greyhound cross just over 2 weeks ago. He was my family and best friend. His ashes came back a couple of days ago and I still don't feel like it's real. I will miss him as long as I live

My pup died this autumn. He wasn't a pup really, but he wasn't an old dog either. We miss him so much. He loved Christmas and getting his own presents to open, and was genuinely thrilled at the simplest things, like a new ball or a tasty chew. Nobody else in the family can match that level of gratitude.

I lost my dog a year last November. I saw the start of The Snowman and the Snowdog on TV today and couldn't stop crying. It was because the dog was old and needed help to get out if the car and he reminded me of my boy before he died. Anyway, let's all raise a glass to the beautiful souls we have lost.

Lost my wee cat in October, suddenly. Really missing her this Christmas, she loved all the kids being home and sitting around providing ample choice of laps, not to mention the stove being on and boxes and wrapping paper to play with.

Billy and Toby, our beautiful boys not a day goes by when you’re not thought about, you are always loved and always missed.

We lost beautiful Poppy aged 16. We knew it was coming and we miss her dearly and talk about her every day (4 months on).

Old cat passed this year. Glass in hand and raised. It is so very hard to lose a pet.

Our sweet old dog, a month today. She was 19 and just missed so much, despite all the busyness the house feels so empty.

Our lovely Collie X died in February. I got lots of sensitive and valuable advice on here at the time. She's been on my mind a lot today. We all miss her very much.

Sorry for everyone missing a furry friend. We managed to finish this year unscathed, but lost one of our cats and our GSD last year. I can empathise entirely.
