So today my Christmas wrapping paper arrived and I realised I’ve officially lost the plot as I ordered wrapping paper especially for Billy that fits the colour scheme but has little dogs in Santa hats on 😂.

Just reading about the adaptil diffusers. Sounds interesting. I might order one. And a camera. Need to get onto this stuff now that life is getting hectic with Xmas stuff.

We left LegsPup for 3 hours last night to go to a carol concert and he seemed ok on return. Minimal whining on the recording app. Had weed, obviously, but that's ok.

Love the Xmas paper. My pup has more presents than either child so far.

Shhhhh he didn't go to the loo in the night. I'm quite frightened of saying it out loud in case it breaks the spell. He did wake me up scratching at the mirror wardrobe doors and a few pitiful whines in his sleep but nothing else. I've given him free range of the whole downstairs and my bedroom door is open. So he comes and visits (quick boop and explores shoes and slipper options) then pads off to hallway where his bed is (tries it out) then pads off to the lounge and takes his pick of two sofas.

This is the dog that wasn't going to be allowed in the bedroom or on the sofa.... the only dog boundary left is actually in bed with me

Some days I'll try anything, but will probably start with Adaptil

If the Adaptil stops working I may also have to consider the greener option

I've bunged her back in the pen, switched it on and gone back to bed this morning. Let's see how long I get before the rumble grumble starts. It's so funny. She sounds like a crochety old gimmer in the morning, or a demented moggy.

I bought a sofa pet blanket last week with the idea of training pup to use the part of sofa with this nice fluffy cover on, with the idea we could take it with us when we go on holiday. Complete failure, the only time she has taken an interest in it was to chew the label off, last night she napped on the other part of the sofa whilst I was on the dog cover!

Tried a self heating blanket? First walkies today - very exciting

Never managed to sofa train my old dog, he loved them. We have several hideous dog blanket sofa covers! My new neighbours once came in and asked if we were decorating

My puppy will be 6 months old next week. Where has the time gone?

It's quite like babies, they're so adorable, but at the same time you do definitely get to the point about 6 months where you're keen for them to get a bit better behaved!

This puppy hasn't really learned to behave badly yet!

@Aria20 I just wanted to say thank you for this reply.. for some reason I had stopped redirecting so much and I was mainly using the 'ah-ah!' correction. So thank you for the redirection reminder, he has been better since

Nova has just been for her first swim! We discovered we had a doggy swimming pool not far from where we live, so husband took her this morning (I wanted to, but, y’know, toddler). She did well but was entirely unsure about the whole thing - perhaps she’ll enjoy it after a few more sessions.

Has anyone got their tree up yet? Kids want to do ours this afternoon... pup has had a good walk/run in the park so I'm hoping she'll chill on her bed and watch while we put it up.....wishful thinking

Tree up and not bothered by the dog one bit. So far.....

FawkesPup has also had a swim. In the pond on his walk. So he's now had a bath, lunch and is snoring on his bed. Hard life eh?!!

Yup tree up and he's not fussed. Very long muddy walk today and now he's snoring on the sofa and snuggling!

@GuyFawkesDay cute photo! Well she slept the whole time we were putting tree together and decorating it and hoovering around her lol. She's been over and had a sniff of some of the things on the lower branches but left it when told to leave...will see if she goes for anything on it later!
