Neighbors dog

New neighbours moved in on thursday at the side of us. Havent seen them but seen their dog in a cage through the window. Now dog has been crying and howling since friday morning constantly I can see hes still in the cage. Cant see any water or food. Theres no one home. A different neighbor tried knocking last night and this morning. Its loud enough to be heard a few houses up. Poor thing sounds so frightened.

What can I do If anything? Should I do something?

RSPCA . Not sure how 101 could help but might be worth logging it 🤷🏻‍♀️
I have one of these neighbours they leave the dog out in the garden all weathers all day.

It's not really the noise that's bothering me it's the fact hes obviously in distress.

So called them after being on hold for a while and they've said they will send someone out on monday. I dont know if its because of where we live we have no shelters nearby or if it's because of a Sunday.

Has the dog been left since Friday morning til now? Or have the neighbours been home in that time do you know?

I havent seen the nieghbours since Wednesday. Officer has put notices up. Says she has to give them 24 hours to get in contact with her. Theres no furniture. She thinks she can see a water bowl in with the dog.

Let’s hope she’s right and that there’s actually some water left in it. Poor dog. You’ve done the right thing reporting it. It’s a shame the RSPCA couldn’t get in and have a proper look at he dogs condition but at least they’re aware now and hopefully of action is needed, they’ll act appropriately.

Seems so wierd. I'm hoping that mabye someone had to go hosp and someone is coming in to feed it or something and hope its temporary.

The notice is still up and she put tape all round the seals of the door I can see it's still undisturbed

I couldn't deal with that, it would break my heart. What if it has no water left? It also may have been days without food. Going to the toilet where it is, in a new house shut in cage. It must be so so distressed and scared. Please call the rspca or try help the dog at all? Hurts my heart just reading this!
