My darling dog always makes me smile when I give him his tea he will always come and find me in the house or garden to give me a kiss . I can only think he's thanking me for his meal .
It makes me smile every time .
What makes you smile 😃 with your dogs ?

I've got a black working type cocker, and I can't believe how much I love him. He often jumps on the bed as it's getting light and snuggles his head into my neck as if to say I've missed you mum. I can't ever bear to tell him off, and he never does it to DH Grin. He's a PITA most days --- rolling in fox poo, getting in ditches and coming out of hedges with a ton of vegetation attached. But I wouldn't be without him Grin

Brings me a toy when I come back, even if I've just been to the loo.

If we go to bed early and they're offended. I get a proper pathetic "wuff" literally sounds like he's saying it and dead quiet.

I could be here all night!

Ddog 2 comes to stand in front of me and smiles at me before kissing my feet lovingly (he really does smile, pulls his lips back and grins, helped by his undershot jaw, very sweet).

Ddog2 again, has made up his own joke where he will play dead when you are cuddling him by going floppy all of a sudden and letting his head loll - he loves it when you comment on it

Ddog 3 literally shrieks with joy when you are about to put his lead on, I have never known a dog make a sound like it

Ddog 1 is obviously a bit boring as I can't think of anything she does..

Dd1 crinkles her nose up, smiling, and dances towards me, singing, after I’ve put down her dinner bowl. I know she's saying thank you! She then yips into her dinner bowl as she eats, little notes of joy. I never get tired of it 😀

Dd2 spends most of the day on two legs, resting on their water bucket so that she can keep an eye on things in the village. In the evenings, she lies at my feet with her head on the sofa, gazing adoringly and unblinkingly at me. It looks really uncomfortable. But I just melt..😍

DDog likes to look out the window and watch the world go by. When he sees me walking towards the house when I come home from work, I see his ears prick up, he dives off the sofa and is there at the door ready to greet me with huge tail wags every day Grin never gets old. It's like he's not seen me in years, it's been 8 hours!

He also likes to climb onto my knee for cuddles very frequently Smile

He walks around curled in a prawn 🍤 shape carrying his piggy when we have visitors - Difficult to explain properly but it's so cute. Also he barks either a 'woof woooo' or a 'woof woof woooo' when we come in the door. We like to guess which it will be before going in.

My dear old lab passed away a few days ago but for the last few months she would walk over to me every night without fail looking for her sore hips and bum to be massaged and would nudge my leg if I dared stop.Miss her terribly.

BigFatCurlyHeadedFuck, I know exactly what you mean - my sister’s cocker spaniel used to do that!

I love it when he folds himself up with his bum down first and his long legs tucked in last.

He’s not the noisiest if dogs but very occasionally he will let out a really long howl in his sleep. Probably only done it 5 times in his 2 yrs!

Ddog2 does a meerkat pose where he sits there, waits till he has all your attention then puts his head to the side to look even cuter. He's also petrified of cushions and if i go to adjust one he bolts across the room.

Ddog1 is an angel and licks my arm when I put it over the edge of the bath. We are velcroed together and I was crying today thinking about how much I love him. Now crying again - insane?

He's a litte git, and far too highly-strung and hyper while awake, but his absolute trust in us and the universe that he can crash out with his belly exposed absolutely melts my heart.

Ddog Border Collie likes to find me when I'm sitting on the toilet and ask for a back rub. At least I'm not lonely in there...

He also likes to bounce up onto the bed in the morning and make sure my eyes are opened. If I pretend to be asleep or hide under the covers, he is most concerned.

MnerXX mine does that howling thing in his sleep sometimes too. Scares the life out of me, especially in the middle of the night. I often wonder what on earth he is dreaming about to elicit such a mournful sound.

MnerXX · 22/09/2018 07:30

I think they’re dreaming of being hounds of the Baskervilles! Haha

I love how he loves going out and goes to our under the stairs cupboard where his leads, coats etc are to try to find his stuff.

I love seeing him sitting face into the wind before he does full on zoomies round the garden. It’s like he thinks he runs faster!
