One more sleep until puppies

Picking my puppies up in the morning.
Very excited.
Garden is secure, beds ready, toys, blankets, clean up pee removal system in place.

Yes Lady. Choosing feels a bit Sophie's Choice doesn't it?

A friend had littermates about 6 years ago and he always said to me 'it's each not both.

They each need to be socialised, trained, walked, played with. You need to do all of that with each of them, not once with both.

And then the wait after you've chosen...
Then within a few days it's like they have always been part of your life 🙂

Never ceases to amaze me how people advise posters to go on and have a baby with complete disregard to the fact that their husband might not want one/they can’t afford one/they need to buy a bigger house/car because “you’ll only ever regret the children you don’t have,” yet decide to get a puppy (or two,) and the questions around why that breed/did you not know that will befall you and it will all be a disaster, and why didn’t you decide to rescue anyway given that the rescues are full of dogs abandoned by people just like you who didn’t coe to the ever wise posters on MN to tell them what an awful idea it was to get a puppy? And dare to complain about the fact the puppy bites/chews/cries at night then you clearly aren’t cut out for dog ownership and should rehome the poor thing to afore-mentioned rescue where the next mn poster talking about wanting a puppy will be directed to rescue it from your clutches...

It’s worth bearing in mind that posters were once banned from the dog house because it was considered to be such an awful/judgemental/unwelcoming place to post. It calmed down for a bit but seems that it’s going back the same way again.

I desperately need some puppies to cuddle but sadly I can’t have any atm. Have fun with your puppies. .

Oh and whatever you do, don’t have any more babies, they’re a bloody nightmare. . puppies are far more preferable and the baby stage is sooooo much shorter... .
