Picking my puppies up in the morning.
Very excited.
Garden is secure, beds ready, toys, blankets, clean up pee removal system in place.

I hate to do this but you need to do some research on litter mate syndrome. Unless there is an adult for each dog to train and walk and play separately this could go very wrong.

UniversityAlreadyQuestionMark · 14/01/2018 19:03

Wolfie I was wondering whether to make that comment too but was worried about popping OP's bubble. I'm glad you have though as now she can prepare.

BellBookandCandle · 15/01/2018 10:34

They are beautiful 🐶💖💙🐶

bilbodog · 15/01/2018 10:57

Sooo adorable you lucky thing!

LittlePearl · 15/01/2018 16:39

I'm another one not wanting to rain on your parade but vets / animal trainers / behaviourists strongly recommend NOT getting two puppies at the same time. It's much harder to establish and build the bond with the dogs.

OP, I realise this isn't what you want to hear but even if it's too late for you to change your mind I'd want to caution others about following suit.

CouldaWouldaDidnt · 16/01/2018 10:26

Oh my OP they are absolutely beautiful!
How are they settling in?

Pagwatch · 16/01/2018 11:54

Lol at 'it's not what you want to hear'

It's honestly not a problem for people to comment - but it would be nice if people asked questions instead of being absoloutely smartarse in faux sad tones. If you really can't wait to post your tales of doom based on assumptions of stupidity then at least don't pretend you are regretful. It's a bit disingenuous.

Be gleeful. Own it. Post 'I'm sitting here being much more sensible and intelligent than you based on zero information about your circumstance and experience because it gives me the warm and fuzzies'
It's much more honest

They are doing pretty well so far.
They are having few accidents and are gradually getting used to the house and environment. They've only been into the top garden so far but they are really curious and then come back and sit on our feet.
The short days are a bit of a pain but we are making sure two of us go out because the little buggers hide in the bushes Grin

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/01/2018 12:30

So gorgeous ❤️

mapmybum · 16/01/2018 12:35

How lovely. And not a breed you see so much around here (all poodle crosses!). Was it a big litter?

Congratulations!

OneMoreOne · 16/01/2018 12:40

They are glorious.

You sound fully on top of everything, I know some people get puppies/dogs underprepared, but MN seems to get over worried some of the time!

Pagwatch · 16/01/2018 13:00

It was a big litter and from a big family group iyswim so they are doing well in terms of socialising already.
We've got a long haul but they are such a lovely breed.

MsGameandWatching · 16/01/2018 13:11

i hate to do this Grin

I always find that people that say that are actually loving it. I'm sure you're not, that's just my experience.

Laqueue · 16/01/2018 13:13

They look gorgeous, and I would so want a snuggle.

My next door neighbours adopted 2 labrador puppies just three weeks apart, from the same household. They have no problems except with recall- they're famed for their selective deafness when apart. But they get one on one time with each adult in the house, have been to puppy classes and are well socialised and contented young dogs now.

Pag, it sounds like you are in for very interesting times, I wish them to be of the good interesting variety.

SupremeCommanderTrinityRhino · 16/01/2018 13:13

'Not wanting to to pop the ops bubble'

'This could go very wrong'

Youbwere clearly desperate to pop the bubble and be all high and mighty about how much you know about gwtting two puppies.

Try unclenching and being happy for someone.

I know you like to assume you are the only people who plan and research things.

But you aren't.

ODFOD

Wolfiefan · 16/01/2018 13:15

I'm not assuming I'm the only person to plan and research. I only heard about litter mate syndrome after I got my (single) puppy. It's a very bad idea to take puppies unless the home has a very particular set up. I won't unclench and be happy if the upshot is the OP may not know what they've taken on and a dog could (worst case scenario) end up dead.

Laqueue · 16/01/2018 13:20

That's a bit dramatic Wolfie. Pag has many years experience with the breed, has been in charge of a multiple dog household before and has raised those dogs from puppies.

She knows what she's got ahead of her. It sounds like she has already got plans in place that will help to avoid littermate syndrome, and as the saying goes "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"

fleshmarketclose · 16/01/2018 13:27

Aww the puppies look so cute and cuddly. My one tiny puppy drove me to distraction although he is a lovely dog now the memories remain. You are most definitely made of stronger stuff than me to have two Grin I'd be a gibbering wreck.

BiteyShark · 16/01/2018 13:29

flesh same here. When I see cute pictures I think aww wouldn't it be nice..... and then remember BiteyDog as a puppy and think 'never again' Grin

Wow2806 · 16/01/2018 13:38

The op has already said that she has experience of a more than 1 dog a a time.. And of the breed..

So I am fairly certain based on this went to a rep breeder and the breeder would not of let 2 of there precious pups go to just anyone other than a experienced owner OP clearly is..

They are bloody gorgeous.. I want to squidge them.. Lucky lady

IHaveBrilloHair · 16/01/2018 13:40

Oooh, I could just eat them.

Wolfiefan · 16/01/2018 13:43

I don't care if you think I should say nothing.
And no. It's not dramatic. It can happen. A multiple dog household is not the same as having two puppies so close in age.
It's imperative they are walked and trained and played with separately. It's a huge commitment. OP may have another adult to help with this and may well be totally aware of the potential problems. It would be wrong to assume that.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/01/2018 13:53

I think she's got the message Wolfie not sure why you keep banging on about it.
