Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

It's a bit less windy but still wet here. I've put on the outside lights and the puddle suits are warm and dry for any toddlers to have a splash.

I've been having a look at Ghanaian food so Hausa Koko and Kose, a type of porridge with bean cakes.

Plantain pancakes.

Florence is making bofrot, a type of doughnut.

Fernando is making Sobolo and is experimenting with using it for a cocktail base.

May I please have a croissant dipped in chocolate like @AnneKipankitoo is having? Hopefully she hadn't stuck her toe in that fountain

@Sweetpea1532 As long as you are careful you don't dunk a kittenbee, I'm sick of cleaning them.

Nope not me , don't worry the kitten bees are safe , I am just sat over here guarding the chocolate fountain so they don't dive in . Iam not eating any chocolate honest .

Fernando is making Sobolo? Made already I assume. Happy to see this place open outside its regular hours 😋

@cassiatwenty yep I am over there ----> That same kittenbee ( does s/he have a name ?) The one that keeps slurping Fernando's cocktails is sneeky its sat on the bookcase eyeing up the fountain.

Oooh what sobolo, I am not sure I can pronounce it sober let alone when I have had a few

Sobolo is a drink made with hibiscus flowers. I'll keep it on the menu for today. I think we'll have jaffles today.

Jaffles are what the Australians call toasted sandwiches but I love the word.

election of cheeses, ham, sweet fillings, chicken, some left over chilli with sour cream. take your pick

Wow, I've worked up an appetite chasing the bumble cats all round the carpark...may I please have a giant bowl of chili with a dollop of sour cream and a jaffle? Oh, and a nice cup of Yorkshire Gold tea?

The solbolo sounds intriguing but I think 7.20 am may be a bit early for one .

I don't feel in the mood for fancy food this morning so it's tea and toast but obviously the bread can be soda, bagels, fruit and nut, even cheesy.

I've made a huge metal pot of tea, the kind you used to get in hospitals, I'll put it here and get the toast.

Oooo thick sliced toast with jam for me please... the thought is making me hungry!!

No problem, juice and jam on toast, I've got raspberry or blackberry, I'll do a slice of each.

I’m not a tea drinker, so I’ll help myself to coffee.

Tea and toast for me please and a cuddle with a cat. Plus in I deal world I'd have a chat with another cafe guest as my brain can't shut off after a difficult day at work yesterday. My insomnia has struck again and I'm exhausted and starving. I may be able to sleep after that

Me and dcat are cuddled up on the pink blanket in the corner.

@Imamumgetmeoutofhere my thug cat can be antisocial at times but he's in cuddle mode at the moment , just becareful as he way of telling you he has had enough is to bite .
