Should I reopen the happy place cafe?

I'm often awake in the night, today was a lie in for me, only properly awake since 4am.

In lockdown I opened, 'the happy place café where I would make virtual breakfasts and people would come to chat.

When it was last opened my French pastry chef Florence had married Fernando the cocktail waiter.

The kitten bees are inside because it is too old but the bumble cats are in the garden as usual.

SO should I reopen or was just something for lockdown?

May I have a cup of the Spicy tomato soup and two knobs with extra butter, please?
And then, a portion of the hearty minestrone soup to go?...oh, and of course, a dozen knobs, too. My family loves them!
I'll be sure not to feed the kittenbees...They won't be able to get lift-off if we all keep sneaking them smidgen.

I heard if they are on the ground you can give the kitten bees a sugary brown fizzy drink to revive them. ( It’s not Irish )

Hello 👋 I've brought a little present for Florence as I heard her birthday is coming up. It's a silk head scarf - don't tell her! Shall we have a little party for her? Fernando says he'll make Clementine martinis.
My baby is asleep in his pram so I'm ready for a little dance!

Oh @Sweetpea1532 it's kind of you to think of sweetpeas. Have you chatted with Scott lately? Can't zzzZzzz right now, it's been a nice day but not that great after dark.

Hello @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket , I think Florence will be happy if we got her some gifts. We have to make sure Fernando doesn't feel left out. Maybe we could consult Mary Berry for advice🤭

Florence's birthday? When, I had no idea. She is a quiet one.

Well the snow has melted so puddle suits are available for toddlers and adults' alike.

The soup seems popular so I'll stick on another batch, Dutch cabbage soup with smoked sausage.

And as we have one Dutch item I'll stick a selection of cheeses and hams and boiled eggs.

@sashh your menu selections keep getting better by the minute!

It sounds like the kittenbees are getting up to mischief again .

As its Florence's birthday how about we all do some baking and give here the day off , she can sit on the comfy chair over there and be fed our treats .

OK ladies, the kitchen is yours but make sure you clean it and put everything back otherwise it's not much of a birthday treat is it.

Morning all. @sashh reading today's offerings made me hungry! One of everything, please! The melted snow is making the outdoors look brighter, as if it all got a wash.😄 I'll have a wee look out while the soup cools sufficiently.

Am I too late for a brandy alexander? Sounds just the thing, although I will be careful to keep it away from the kitten bees.

if we are baking I'm happy to make my cherry and almond gallette. It's very moreish.

A galette is a bit like a tarte tatin isn’t it?
I had a wonderful banana tarte tatin in France once, well twice as I had the last bit the next evening.

I think of a galette as a savoury pancake but apparently that's just in Brittany. Which explains why the 3 Kings cake is the Galette des ROIs. Always thought that was a bit odd!

I've made a chocolate fudge cake. My mum's recipe, best eaten slightly warmed in the microwave so the chocolate fudge topping melts a bit.

A quiet night over here, but in a nice, pleasant way, so just to pop in and see if those ZzzzzZ's come
