Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

Disney bought 21st Century Fox, so you've got a lot of their back catalogue on there. I've been watching Alias and The X-Files, as well as The Golden Girls. I'm also rewatching Criminal Minds. Ooh. And I've just discovered that all of Body of Proof is there. YAY!

DH and I both like Marvel so we've been working our way through the various shows.

I'll watch this on Monday — it's Stacey's production company. It should give an idea of how normal competitive ballroom works and you'll see some brilliant dancing.

I could start a new thread or we could chat on here about it if anybody else watches.

17th Sep is the launch show. I think it’s usually a couple of weeks then until the first proper show.

I've not heard anything about it yet, it just seems like it'd be considered a bit too sparkly and celebratory. But maybe they go ahead and do a tribute to the Queen?

Hello all, back again for another year! The BBC website still says the launch show is this weekend, but we’ll watch this space. All the pairings were done a few weeks ago as Ritchie was banging on about how nervous he was on Zoe Ball’s Show - I’m not a fan of his I’m afraid!

I dod think it was odd that at the weekend the advert for strictly on iplayer said coming soon. Surely it would have said 17th September if not the time by that stage if it had been firmed up.
