Strictly 2022 Sequins at the Ready!

Starting a new thread as can't seem to find one yet, and suddenly feeling very aware that we are likely only days away from line up announcements!

Who do we all think will be on the line up this year? I thought last year was one of the best line ups, a good mix.

Rumours so far include Gino D'Campo, Scarlett Moffat, Steph McGovern, Dawn French..

The first announcements last year were on Wednesday 4th August, so hopefully the same again this year..

I haven’t really sat down and watched soaps for decades. I know the character of Martin - just not the chap. Probably a completely different actor 🤷🏻‍♀️

I will probably gravitate towards someone and that’ll be me.

The guy who is they say is Martin Fowler is not the chap I was expecting! James Alexandrou who used to play him was a bit of a crush of mine and I was a teen. And that ain't him

Ha! Same here, then I googled and realised I hadn't actually seen Eastenders for 15 years!! Grin Do not want to come across like the Where are they now? troll, we had on here this week...but James joins the huge list of soap stars whose careers stall. Forgot he went out with Kara for a year...and TIL Jack Rider used to be married to Kym Marsh.
Line up feels presenter-heavy but possibly as there isn't a politician/dragon/chef to break it up. First two series were presented heavy too, it is just that I had to Google a despite this year but am not going all Dan Winton about it. AJ, Rose, John, Rhys and Tilly are examples of lesser known to me doing fantastically.

Fleur and Kym have good odds, betting wise today whereas Matt was a favourite earlier in the week.
Personally, I would love a Will/Karen win, a Jayde/Kai win or a Helen/Vito win (if the latter is the 15th name). Will bet on any of those of paired up.

Saw Hal Cruttenden's stand up. (Comedian, also does appearances on Extra Slice etc has an actress sister and his wife left him last year). Someone missed a trick there. He had Strictly written all over him. possibly due to dancing to I will survive at the end

I feel a bit bad for saying this but I find Helen Skelton's ickle-baby voice so excruciating, I normally have to turn off anything she is on. It's like she's talking to a bunch of toddlers. This is going to be hard for me.

Cannot bear Helen Skelton. She really grates on me. Hoping if she proceeds, it’s because of her dancing, not the sympathy vote.

I feel the same, I think it's the voice but I know whenever she appears on the TV my heart sinks.

The alleged love looking put me clean off.

She s enough in herself. Love is a bonus. I’d have thought more of it being a mojo search after the public end of her marriage. I’d have been behind that more.

I still would like her to find her mojo and I think JoJo could assist. Everyone deserves to find their shine.

The thought of her being paired with someone available and the inevitable chopsing from Tess and others about chemistry I can do without.
