KiddingAnxiously i would recommend them, they are slightly different from the series but still worth reading, i couldnt put them down.

I agree ! Book 2 was my least favourite and I wish they had focused on the vampire story and not maenad.
I am really looking forward to meeting Alcide (have googled the actor they have cast ).

I think they are trying to but it's not working.
The whole 'Lafayette in teh dungeon and him killing the other blokey' thing should have made him pure evil for us but I don't think it worked like that.
I never understodd Sookie's hatred for him in the books tbh, he always came across as a sociopathic vampire who, nevertheless, still liked her and wouldn't harm her.
Am hoping they are doing it so Book/Season 4 will come as a massive shock to us

I am concerned as I think the whole disappearence of Bill in Season 3 could be blamed on Eric...I enjoyed Club Dead. Eric & Alcide...mmmm.

No, blaming it on eric wouldn't work. Anyway, they have introduced a few characters earlier than the books so that we don't get so confused in teh series iyswim, easier to give back story in the books but not on tv

No, I'm sure Lorena is going to be responsible for Bill's disappearance - no way would she have walked meekly off when he told her to and left it there. I'm a little annoyed that they have left out the whole 'maker's influence' thing as it's quite obvious Bill would not shag lorena freely so how are they going to introduce the split with Sookie?

Im guessing that introducing Bubba would be a bit of a legal nightmare - I dont really miss that character at all. Im glad Alan Ball decided to keep Lafayette I always felt he was killed off a bit too soon in the books.
