Curling Barbie's hair...

OhForBoonessSake · 01/02/2011 21:45

bridget looks like getting married is teh last thing on thsi earth that she wants to be doing! Sad

Hassled · 01/02/2011 21:45

The Cinderella analogy is quite apt, isn't it?

I don't know why this episode is having the effect on me it is - the other ones I was watching with my jaw dropping, now I'm just upset by it all.

pink4ever · 01/02/2011 21:46

I think bridget is the one who was in New magazine and she was months pregnant on wedding daay? So clearly not all virgins.

sheeplikessleep · 01/02/2011 21:46

how can that dressmaker take pride in her job, knowing that half the women she dresses will suffer DV?

Katz · 01/02/2011 21:46

for a custom made dress it doesn't fit very well.

pink4ever · 01/02/2011 21:46

5 months I meant!

Normantebbit · 01/02/2011 21:46

This is the best day of her life Sad

blametheparents · 01/02/2011 21:46

OMG - How much is this wedding costing?
And presumably the Mum has got to pay for her other DD's weddings.
How?

ohmeohmy · 01/02/2011 21:46

sheso doesn't want to be there

nemofish · 01/02/2011 21:47

"Go in the piss of Christ"

sorry that made me lol

Mousesmummy · 01/02/2011 21:48

Poor Bridget! Sad

EricNorthmansMistress · 01/02/2011 21:48

'You gotta force it, you gotta bend it's arm'

:(

Gargleswithjelly · 01/02/2011 21:48

Katz - v. funny Grin

Munaka · 01/02/2011 21:49

Your words not mine Gargles - I didn't say 'mildly sexually assaulted'.

I would class it as straight out assault.

thenightsky · 01/02/2011 21:49

A girl won't just give you a kiss, you've gotta bend 'its' arm.

It?

Sad
OhForBoonessSake · 01/02/2011 21:49

i wonder if that was why bridget had bandages put on her stomach before teh dress unlike all the other girls we have seen. maybe it was so the dress didn't rub on her bump?

i tell you what, that martin tom would get a hell of a fight from me if he tried twisting my arm for a kiss.

roundtable · 01/02/2011 21:49

Did that boy just say you've got to beat it and punch it's arm?

So a punching bag and an it? [shocked]

Do you think they are using extreme versions or is this a realistic representation?

CaveMum · 01/02/2011 21:50

Poor, poor girl. She really shoved that ring on his finger didn't she.

As for those lads at Appleby Shock and Angry

How can they say that it is ok to do these things to a girl, but if another man did the same to their sister they'd "have words"?

LostVagueness · 01/02/2011 21:51

Nice to see the wife battering starts at an early age.

Gargleswithjelly · 01/02/2011 21:51

That phrase was used once by a domestic violence police officer that gave a talk at a school I heard!! Disgraceful that that is the official attitude isn't it?

Gargleswithjelly · 01/02/2011 21:52

Sorry punctation and grammar lousy!

Cain · 01/02/2011 21:52

What an utterly depressing programme.

The poor child has spent her life looking after her siblings and now she is married off to a life of servitude to her husband and children. No wonder they go so OTT on her wedding, it is the only time in her life she will feel like the 'number one' or even on the agenda. Poor bugger.

Let her have her meringue dress and fairy tale cake, after that the fairy tale is over with a bang. Sad

Tommy · 01/02/2011 21:53

now there's a wedding outfit!

CubaCat · 01/02/2011 21:53
