Channel 4 tonight, featuring a lovely young couple from our village.

I really want to watch this but I know that dh will turn over within 5 minutes if things get hairy. We watched the Amanda Holden midwifery thing recently and dh got really grumpy with me because the woman had complications, he doesn't want to know about problems that could arise.

poshtottie · 09/02/2010 16:35

Thanks for the reminder. My friend is on it in a couple of weeks time.

chickensaresafehere · 09/02/2010 16:39

Cue lots of crying & helping them to push from the chickensaresafehere house!!!

spiralqueen · 09/02/2010 16:49

Avoiding it like the plague - too many bad memories of giving birth there. Dreadful care (had to wait for my CS on a chair outside theatre, DH had to help catheterize me, anaesthestist put epidural in too high up and I crashed) no communication, hacked off midwives and first contact when back on ward was from consultant wanting to know whether I was going to sue them. Awful, awful place.

southeastastra · 09/02/2010 16:51

where is it?

spiralqueen · 09/02/2010 17:24

Princess Anne in Southampton.

clarebear1 · 09/02/2010 17:41

OOh ive been looking forward to this programme! DH is at the pub so im hoping he stays there until 10 :-)

Mimile · 09/02/2010 17:44

would like to watch but not sure I can cope with it - all too fresh in my mind...

MegSophandEmma · 09/02/2010 17:45

I gave birth there twice, in 2001 and 2002. Can't fault it at all. Now giving birth in The Blackpool Victoria hospital in 2007 - that's another story.

southeastastra · 09/02/2010 21:02

this might put people off having babies

Meglet · 09/02/2010 21:02

I want to see a cs, I couldn't see mine very well.

BelleDameSansMerci · 09/02/2010 21:06

Wondering if I can watch this... Cannot believe how many women give birth without pain relief.

I'm going to sob my eyes out every time a baby is born.

What is that arse of a man doing laughing at his partner. Tosser!

southeastastra · 09/02/2010 21:06
