did anyone else think he was a bit crass and slightly naive at times?

lol @ 'making us think we are on a great adventure with a mate'.

With a foul-mouthed wide-eyed psycho, mor e like

pointysaysrelax · 21/01/2010 20:01

stop the fucking bus, as they say

slng · 21/01/2010 20:12

The only half-way decent he said was that he didn't cook at home because he "hasn't got the staff". That says it all really. All that "home-cooking" being "close to his heart" bollocks. He doesn't know anything, as DS2's favourite saying goes.

His language was disgusting and he had no repsect to the people there. I stopped watching the F Word because of it. I bet he doesnt swear infront of his kids like that.

RMooMoo · 22/01/2010 08:33

Well, the DM has got onto this discussion! www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1245181/What-HAS-India-deserve-Gordon-Ramsay-Christopher-Hart-won ders.html

pointysaysrelax · 22/01/2010 19:59

kitt, I remember hearing him on radio once saying that of course he doesn't swear in front of his kids. He is well aware of when it is not appropriate and he can turn it off.

So how come he swears in front of people he has just met, many of whom do not have a fluent knowledge of english?

Because he is an arse. That's all I can think of.

kittya · 23/01/2010 09:25

my Indian friends were appalled, they just dont use that kind of language. I would hate to hear him when he has a go at his wife!!

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 23/01/2010 10:16

116 complaints, apparently, some to ofcom. i can't imagine ch4 bosses liking that when they're after a slice of the licence fee.

megapixels · 23/01/2010 13:58

Yes kittya you are right, he should have made himself aware of the norms of the culture he was going to. Using such foul language is just not on.

The show also exposes himself for the racist he is. Rubbing the toddy tappers arms, calling him a little f*er etc., it sounded as if he thought of them as little, insignificant people. It's not something he'd do in all of his travels anywhere in the world. He wouldn't have done that to a strapping American man for example would he?

SherriHewsonsNipple · 23/01/2010 14:01

where does ti say about the complaints aitch?

SpringHeeledJack · 23/01/2010 14:20

why didn't they get an Indian cook to do it, ffs? Do they think we'll only watch a food programme if Gordon Twatting Ramsey is presenting it?

I think Channel Four have lost it
