Seeing as how we only have a few weeks to wait now!
I have Season 7 synopsis here it's only a short recap of episodes but it was enough to remind me of a few things I had forgotten!

Namely Tony being 'good' all along and wanting revenge for (pregnant) Michelle, and Renee going into the interogation room with a very 'Jack' expression on to 'ersuade' Wilson to confess. Oh, and in the dull presidential bits that's skanky moo daughter getting in the shit for ordering a hit. (hey, that rhymes!)
So, anyone know when it is starting on Sky? In US I think it's the 17th so we would normally get it on the 24th and 25th but can't find listings!

OP posts:

That's okay then! Use a next time though and I won't swear at you!

If they are you are going to feel soooo bad.

I am wondering whetehr Cole is going to get to shoot Dana in the head. Cos, you know, it's only fair really.

ohfuschia · 03/05/2010 22:14

I was a bit puzzled about where Jack's going in that helicopter.

Did you see the look of disgust Cole gave when told Dana was working with the Russians? It was as if he'd been told his ex-fiancee was sleeping with the milkman rather than helping orchestrate an act of international terrorism.

And for the record, I'd definitely prefer Kiefer over Jack ('sad longterm crush harboured since teenage years' emoticon needed here) though I still would Jack, of course.

nomorecake · 03/05/2010 23:27

i'm still really suspicious of cole...

(but in 24 you become suspicious of everyone, i suppose!)

anonacfr · 04/05/2010 08:36

I was thinking Dahlia too.

Btw seeing CTU on the other side of the river (ie not in Manhattan) made me laugh outloud. I know they're not respecting the timeline anymore and the clock is irrelevant, but are we really expected to believe various people can get from the UN (or downtown, or wherever they are at the time) to Brooklyn in a matter of minutes?
I mean seriously the Pres showed up at CTU about 3/4 minutes after she was on the phone to Chloe. It would take her longer to gather her entourage and get in her Pres car.

I have to say this plot twist is just ridiculous. Surely the president would have made sure she got all the info from Dana so that she can hold something over the Russians' head- if the Russians are forced to make a major policy decision based on information they don't want released, information that the US can get by interrogating one suspect, surely they wouldn't miss that chance when they have the suspect in custody???

But Logan, a known traitor and slimy bastard, tells the President she 'really doesn't want to know' and..... she trusts him???? . That is the dummest thing ever! She's putting herself in such a dodgy situation by doing that- not only is she at the mercy of the Russians who can happily turn round, claim a few rogue elements in their government and tell Mrs Hassan the whole plot but also of Logan.

sockmonkey · 04/05/2010 11:57

DH commented on that ... didn't take long for president to arrive at CTU. No traffic?

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 04/05/2010 13:56

Ah but they haven't issued the order to reopen the streets after the bomb....

Yes, Mrs pres currant bun face is losing it

Lotkinsgonecurly · 04/05/2010 14:16

I'm not keen or Mrs President, and at Logan, DH and I were shouting Boo Hiss at the screen.

I think Jack has gone to get some shopping, he must so need a coffee ???? Wee, Food.

I bet he puts the helicopter down in a local convenience store or car park.

Loujalou · 04/05/2010 16:05

President Taylor is a crappy president. The best thing she did do was get her daughter in trouble with the law. Her husband was nice though.

Maybe Pres Taylor will die (at the hands of Jack - or someone more viable) and Ethan will take over.

The whole timeline thing is ridiculous. At least pretend to stick to it or use video conferencing - Taylor and Jack didn't need to meet face to face.

sockmonkey · 08/05/2010 09:28

President Taylor is rubbish, she should have stuck to exploring with her pal back-pack.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecMoiCeSoir · 09/05/2010 23:30

meh.

(to tonight's episode)

sockmonkey · 10/05/2010 19:48

Really Voulez? I thought it was pretty good this week. Nice to get back to a bit of torture at the end. (HA!)

Logan is definately planning on dropping President Dora in the stink. He is majorly manouvering that way.
Sad to see Ethan resign, but nice to see someone sticking to the moral high ground.

Felt sorry for Jack having Chloe turn on him like that. Things must be bad. Can't believe he sussed it though. I guess I underestimated him. Oh the shame of underestimating Jack

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 10/05/2010 20:57

It was just getting silly again.

No WAY pres would be that easily persuaded by greaseball that is Logan.
Jack knew Chloe would dob him in, but then tying up a load of CTU agents and 'leaving them safely tied up'? Huh? they are so going to get loose...except in 24 land of course.

I think it was the last filler anyway before the final round of action starts and jack goes postal..

Oh and fgs, whose bright idea was it to put Michael Madsen and Kiefer in the same scene? They are both mutterers, I had to bang the volume right up t hear wtf was going on

Poor Dana

Loujalou · 10/05/2010 21:24

Am glad Ethan stood the moral high ground against Logan the Terrible and President Dora Taylor. Taylor was too easily swayed for my liking but these politicians are easily swayed.

Meh - is the best word for it.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 10/05/2010 21:54

YY, Dora is believable but no way would I have believed Ethan goign for it.

sockmonkey · 11/05/2010 18:04

Dana did not expect that... nice immunity deal - hah!
Had to ask DH what they were doing with the towel tho... more used to seeing poke-y/stabby/burn-y torture methods.

sockmonkey · 15/05/2010 18:08

just marking so I don't lose the thread.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 17/05/2010 07:03

Uh-oh.

Jacks' lost it

I would not like to be Logan right now

sockmonkey · 18/05/2010 17:01

Argh...
Was watching it, needed to watch last 15 mins but DH deleted it thinking I was done.
What happened??? Or is it repeated this week??

anonacfr · 18/05/2010 17:24

Basically Jack got the evidence from Dana and then proceeded to kill her in cold blood, thereby proving her right when she told Cole Jack was going to kill her and everyone else 'involved' in Renee's death.

That's it Jack is officially dead to me. I know he shot Nina Myers execution-style in the past, but the circumstances were totally different.
Killing Dana like that was just so off.

Oh and Logan got his man to run the Jack-hunt from CTU- the plan is that all info on Jack's whereabouts will be leaked to Russian-assassin-guy (the one who actually killed Renee) so that he can kill Jack.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 18/05/2010 19:50

at jack being dead to you.
he has gone CRAZY with grief and Dana was being an uberbitch, plus he doid't knwo what she had done to Cole and I woudl have assumed he was dead as well.
Poor jack.

It's repeated on a monday so you are buggered I'm afraid, although you might be able to find it on fox website.

anonacfr · 18/05/2010 20:02

Actually he did know- he asked her and she told him she could never kill Cole.

Re the crazy with grief- can I remind everyone that he only spent a few HOURS of his life with Renee (unlike his history with Audrey and of course his wife. I can understand him killing Nina, who not only had lied to him for years but had unnecessarily murdered his wife and unborn child), that they hadn't been in contact at all since the previous season- plus Dana was definitely NOT directly responsible for Renee's death.

Sadly for her I think Dana's right- he's not crazed, he's turned into a cold blooded methodical killer.

I'm sure the writers were expecting us to cheer when he shot Dana (like she was Nina 2 or something), or when he slapped her around at the beginning of the episode, but I just found it disgusting. Jack's officially a psychopath.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 18/05/2010 20:18

anon - it isn't real though

This is the final slow breakdown into madness of soemone driven to the edge time and again. This is the first time EVER jack has gone against a preseident (apart from logan, but he doesn't count) he had given it all up and this is what has happened...

I didn't cheer, I was sad for jack, who has lost it. he's not thinking straight is he, that doesn't make him a psychopath.

sockmonkey · 19/05/2010 11:21

Grrr... been waiting for weeks for something really juicy to happen, then I miss it!

Thanks for the catch up.

Loujalou · 20/05/2010 08:34

How many hours do we have left?

Do you think Dora is going to survive the wrath of Jack?
