Amazing episode.
I love them but some of their lifestyle choices are surprising to me. But i suppose that's all part of it...

I LOVE this series - gutted that I missed the first couple of episodes. Agree re the barking mad MacDonalds midnight meal and the insaneness of Jeet going at all. And someone needs to play with the little girl - take her to the park, read a book, do SOMETHING.

BooHooo · 17/12/2009 11:51

The diet and bedtime routines are defo questionable. There is lots of love in abundance but I am really shocked that Kaki didn't get checked out earlier as she has looked SO ill for ages now. She is a strange one Kaki....

Sunni is fit and Shay is just beautiful!

I Have to confess to doing a catsbumface at the midnight mcDonalds for Bhavi. I do love them all, though. Except maybe for Jeet.

whifflegarden · 17/12/2009 12:13

It seems like a great family, lots of love, support and all that...and definitely good intentions. Sunny & Shay are lovely, also like the younger brother, Mum and Dad are great. Kaki is a little irritating and I find Jeet a bit creepy.

AS said before, they need to sort out their diet. They also need to get out to the park or do something more active than sitting around watching telly. That little girl could do with some stimulation. I don't even like dogs (all pets actually) but feel sorry for the dogs who I haven't seen being taken for a walk the whole series.

I know there's plenty of shouting and sniping but don't think it's in a bad way. I find it quite amusing actually.

Has anyone noticed that dad has a strange resemblance to the little dog?

Missus84 · 17/12/2009 13:39

Remember you only see a tiny editted snapshot of their lives though - only the bits Channel 4 think are relevant. They probably didn't think it was worth sending a camera crew out to follow Kaki taking Bhavi to the park.

kittya · 17/12/2009 17:21

That little girl must be due to go to nursery, Im surprised she can talk her dummy is never out of her mouth. Im loving it but also, guessing that they live in the suburbs, how does Shay manage to get up to go to work in the city everyday, they are such night owls!! the toddler is always asleep because shes bored. And, Im scared for that mother, when did she last have a health check? surely she must have diabetes or something. I love it but I dont know if I like these mini interviews, I cant remember them doing it last year. By the way, I wonder if the crew making it noticed how sick Kaki was getting, it was obvious to us!

PlumBumandBaublesMum · 17/12/2009 17:29

They didn't do the mini interviews last year

Agree with the editing though as I didn't know Kaki, Geet and Bhavi existed until episode3/4??

BooHooo · 17/12/2009 17:37

Kaki is so unhealthy. They all are apart from Shay.

babytinkabell · 17/12/2009 17:49

I am LOVING this years series. I think Sunny and Shay are a lovely couple, so down to earth and just so nice! Mum and Dad are hilarious.Even though they argue and moan at each other it's obvious how close they are. I think the little girl is adorable, so cute. Can't stand Jeet. I cannot believe he went away when his wife was so close to giving birth. I think kaki is ok, slightly irritating but I felt so sorry for her when she was sick. Can't wait for next episode.

kittya · 17/12/2009 17:56

I wouldnt trust Jeet as far as I could throw him

Monadami · 17/12/2009 18:33

Was Kaki really at death's door in last night's episode or was it TV sensationalism to bring suspense and tension into the programme? I have to admit though, I did sob for a while.

lizziemun · 17/12/2009 19:35

Yes she both lungs colapsed because she had pneumonia. Had to have EMCS as the doctors didn't think she would survive.

PlumBumandBaublesMum · 17/12/2009 19:52

I wasn't sure what to make of Geet either but I think he really loves her,he is just torn between her and his family,
I suppose if they couldn't afford for all to go, he wouldn't be able to go for along time after the baby was born and he hadn't seen his family for a year,
it might have been the only time to go, although I wouldn't have let been too h.p. about my dh booking a holiday at that stage

NotanOtter · 17/12/2009 20:40

sunni is fit and jeet is good looking but not man enough for me
pretty though and makes nice babies

i like their chilled lifestyle

i dont think the mu is that run off her feet

NotanOtter · 17/12/2009 20:40

they do work
not noticed the house be anything but very tidy

whifflegarden · 17/12/2009 21:19

They all work except Jeet and Mum, I think.
In my book the house is a tip (and hilarious the way dad is always moaning about it).

kittya · 17/12/2009 21:26

The dear mum is treated like crap! When he rang her up to open his bedroom window??? lordy.
