Brill. They seem like they are going to be great viewing . What a beautiful girl Shay is.

BlackLetterDay · 25/11/2009 21:20

I love this prog although probably liked the last family more due to the annoying explain to camera bits. For some reason I find it oddly soothing to watch, love the mum and dad.

kittya · 25/11/2009 21:48

Oh, its a mans world in this family!! the poor mum, you'd think she'd lose weight all the running around she does!!

candyfluff · 27/11/2009 10:14

love the mum shes so fab - wouldnt say the word gay
loved this weeks where the little girl - erm forgot her name now was talking to her grandad and it was gibberish - so funny
got a fancying for jeet now.

I was addicted to the first series, loved it. I saw this new one for the first time this week and I'm not so keen on it. The family themselves are fab but the interviews to camera and the bit where they went out in the car with one son and interviewed him were too intrusive for me. I liked the very literal 'fly on the wall' thing last time when you just had it unfolding in front of you with just a quick voiceover at the beginning...

It is a great idea though. For some reason it is fascinating to watch the detail of goings on in other families

Chickenshavenolips · 27/11/2009 10:28

Love this. I feel so very sorry for Shay. What a horrible situation.

CandyKane · 27/11/2009 10:44

Have only managed to watch first couple of episodes, will catch rest on iplayer.

CirrhosisBythesea, we are all just nosey parkers aren't we. Everyone loves to know the goings on of other families.

CirrhosisByTheSea · 27/11/2009 10:52

yup it is pure nosiness, you're right! Funnily enough the first series helped me quite alot - the mum (Jane) although at times you could have accused her of being a little - well, grumpy...it did help me to realise that it is ok to lay down the law sometimes...I came from a very quiet, studious family, not a rambunctious one like that, and any confrontation was avoided. It really helped me to see it's ok to come in all guns blazing if people are taking advantage. It doesn't mean they won't still love you etc! I really feel fond of this programme.

Don't think I'll be learning much from the put-upon mother in this series, hopefully!
