Sunny and Shay are beautiful. Loved it when Shay was showing the mum and dad her wedding power point and the no comment reaction between them. The other son was lovely - laughed at the playfight between him and Shay. Looking forward to next weeks now.

I thought they were lovely. It was clear there was a lot of love between the two parents even when they were insulting each other. And I thought what the father had said to Shay when her mother rejected her - about being part of their family now - was very moving.

The programme made me laugh a lot and I'm really looking forward to next week.

Is it being repeated at all? No good me watching it on the website my internet won't let me. I work 5 till 10 pm on a wed night.

Loving it. What a wonderful family. it is brilliant. And yes gorgeous couple, Sunni and Shay. The Mum is my favourite though, she is wonderful.

I know the guy who filmed, directed and produced this. He's the same guy that did our programme.

I think the mum will have serious health issues, she must have Type 2 Diabetes at least, she should get on Dad's exercise bike and he should make the tea.

I thought the family were just fab - felt v for Shay with her whole mum situation - (can imagine her thrashing it out an AIBU here, actually!)

BUT I wasn't really keen on the 'talking heads' approach. I know they had to fill the story in, but I think they should have let it unfold and trusted us to work it out - as we did last year.

I liked being the fly on the wall and I really felt part of the action, but when they were interviewed, suddenly the spell was broken. Did anyone else feel like that?

anyone know the bit about one family being 'carpenters' and the other beng 'farmers'? i assume its cultural. find all that interesting....love these types of shows. a happy,happy home.....who does the little girl belong to?

I think it was just that Shay's family considered themselves to be higher up the social ladder than Sunny's, and that she was marrying beneath her. Very sad situation for Shay Sunny's family seemed to totally embrace her though which must be some consolation.

ilovetiffany the difference in occupation thing is about caste. The family are considered to be Jutt caste which is considered like a peasant/farmer caste to shays family who are Ramgarhia/carpenters.

Caught this by accident browsing for something to watch and just loved it! I'm half-asian myself and was very moved by the dad's attitude to the mother's rejection of Shay. Must say, chauvinist pig he might be in general, but he puts my educated liberal let-no-shame-befall-family-no-matter-how-crap-that-is-for wife-and-kids asian father to shame.
