Danni was a muppet. It could be argued that she was the least homophobic of all as if she saw a hypocrisy in changing the gender of the song she felt it needed remarking on. BUT she made her comment at an unfair time and in an unfair way. First ever live show, first comments on Danyl. He had the right to discuss his sexuality on his own terms and wasn't responsible for the lyrics change most likely.

I thought Dannii was totally out of order and i was gobmacked at her comments. No need for it at all -it was awful!

As usual the judges target the people they see as a threat to their acts...

I thought it'd be all over the press today but haven't seen anything yet...

Dh snd and I were gob smacked at the comment she made, really can't believe she said it. Said to dh simon won't be pleased about that and you could tell that wouldn't be the end of the discussion!

Really what was the purpose, either she is that small minded or she's was trying to wind him up for her own gain, remember hes had comments he doesn't have the likeability factor, what better way to prove it than by winding him up on air and watching him kick off.

I couldn't believe the comment either. He looked really shaken and Cheryl and Simon looked completely shocked.

Wonder if it will be referred to tonight. Also wonder how Louis will be after the news of Stephen Gately's death.

Didn't come over as homophobic, just inappropriate for the time. She's probably used to joshing and banter, she must have a zillion gay friends and is probably accustomed to a bit of badinage along those lines. It's when you're not exposed to it that it seems so shocking.

He's bisexual apparently and Danni says this morning (yes, I am sad enough to search for her blog) that she was merely making a joke and referencing an article HE had published. But she's slightly missing the point that the x-factor audience is considerably bigger than the readership of any national paper and to the vast majority of people it looked like a sly way of outing someone. So she needs to explain herself tonight.

I hadn't seen anything about Danyl in the papers (though have met him in RL where he was the lead singer in band at wedding where I was bridesmaid)

Watching it with my friend he thought Danni meant Danyl used to be a girl

Don't know if Louis will be on X Factor tonight. The bit on the news I read had his quote about Stephen Gateley then said 'Louis Walsh who was meant to be judging tonights XF'

Thought Danni and Cheryl were right about the slutty stripper look if they're so concerned about people taking their moosic seriously then don't dress like a hooker. At least not in week 1.

looking back now, I dont think she was being awful, I think it was a rehearsed comment that she thought would sound funny, but it wasnt a good comment to have said and back fired on her!

I think the girs were correct about the girl group also, cover up!!!!!!!!!!! surely Louis much know that all women are not going to like them , and not being jealous, but they just looked like.....well..... use your imaginations!!!

Look at the girl group the other year, they got slated on here
defo should have dressed a bit differently!

I love dannii.She did make a bit of a foot in mouth comment but i don't think much can be said as danyl sold his Am I aren't I I like a bit of both story to the gutter press last weekend so fair game really.She didn't out him at all.Why do people think its unsuitable for a family shoe?He's gay/bisexual not an axe murderer!

I don't read the newspapers and was really shocked by Danni's comment last night, I didn't quite get what she meant to start with, but when I read he is bisexual then it clicked. I thought she was out of order to even mention his sexuality on live TV

I don't have a huge issue with the way that Kandi Rain dressed. They have a sexy image and that's fair enough. It wouldn't make me jealous. I think mabe tone it down a little bit but they would look awful in polo necks and maxi skirts. I didn't like the see-through panel in one of the girls tops but I think they should dress sexy. Just a bit more classy. Mabe some spray on jeans or leggins so that they cover up but look trendy rather than slutty.
They were quite good but wrong song choice.

I don't get why Danni or Cheryl would be jealous of Kandy Rain either??? Cheryl and Dani look very polished and attractive (albeit in a plastic sort of way) whereas Kandy Rain look like the sort of girls that throw up outside a Plymouth nightclub on those live cop shows.

I did lol @ the fact the leotard was so small there wasn't enough fabric to hold in her mike pack which fell out early on and sat behind her feet for the rest of the song.

Also good for Danyl who we saw (but not heard well) saying "I'm not ashamed" in reply to the comment.

I also thought Dannii was ace. Didn't notice the comment to Danyl at all - Louis was rude to him though? Danyl comes over as a diva anyway. I thought Simon was awful to Miss Frank - calling two of them book ends. So rude.
