It's never been about just the dancing though, it's 50/50 dancing and popularity.

ballet shoes, yes, i thought the same. it actually gets on my nerves when the judges start banging on about the best dancing, as if that's what the show is all about. it's the whole package, natalie cassidy a ZILLION times more fun to watch than Zoe ever was, for example, while technically less competent. and it's the improvement i think they should be judged on, not how good they are at dancing, otherwise it's just a natural talent thing.

and despite all this, i find craig's naked vote-begging absolutely repulsive. i'd rather jo and brendan were still in than him.

I sky plus SCD and fast forward every single one of Craig's dances. There is something unbelievably dull about him that I can't explain. He is like a moving version of Jeremy Vine's voice, extremely irritating but never seems to go away.

Anyway, I am a huge fan but am finding this years lot a bit of a hit and miss. Not one of them has a sparkling personality AND also be a fantastic dancer which as Aitch says, it what the voting public like. I love Ricky G and actually enjoyed his Rumba last night, thought it was hilarious.

I agree, Avada. It's always been about popularity/personality and the dancing. People who vote also seem to like 'the journey'. TBH I'm not that upset that Zoe and James were voted off. I didn't look forward to seeing them dance every week and couldn't really see what the judges saw in Zoe. Unfortunately she also had a difficult dance and all that gyrating was not good. I winced each time I saw her do it.

I do vote on occasion and what moves me to spend my hard-earned cash is based on the personality of the dancer, the chemistry between the professional and the celebrity and the dance, both how it is choreographed and how it is danced. Hence I would never vote for Craig!

Great partnerships in the past have been Mark Ramprakash and Karen,even though I wasn't a hugh fan of Karen, Matthew and Alesha and last year I liked Rachel and Vincent, although I didn't vote for them in the final as I thought Tom and Camilla's freestyle dance was better.

Anyone excited about tonight? Unfortunately I will miss most of it as going to a display - aargh! Who do we think will be in dance off tonight, any more surprises?

I can't believe I just wasted 90 seconds of my life hising and cringing behind my hands while Craig was "dancing" - that was truly painful to watch. Alesha's comments were spot on.

I missed everyone I wanted to see due to baby bath and bedtime - was lovely and all, but I wanted to see Jade and Ali

Didn't even bother to really watch Craig, he entirely lacks the dancing gene and could train for a million years without seeing any improvement - sorry Craig.

Was strangely moved by Chris and Ola though, their dance was pure joyful magic Loved the group Viennese waltz too, and got completely overexcited during the jive until Bruce thoughtfully came on to ruin it.

Glad Craig is in the dance-off (much as I adore the fragrant Flavia), but would have preferred Laila and Anton up against them rather than Ricky and Erin.
