if only to see Brendan Cole and i dont reckon he'll be around for long with Jo Wood!

Think Tuffers will be hysterical though.

Who are we tipping to win/be 1st one out?

OP posts:
Niecie · 18/10/2009 13:58

They got bumped for the F1 and obviously it threw them all.

Glad it is not only me who couldn't help thinking the kangeroo remark was a storm in a teacup, especially after Bruno's grasshopper remark.

I think Craig gets a bit of hard time even though, often, he gives constructive criticism along with his opinions. Bruno matched his low marks last night too, yet he gets off with still being one of the good guys.

Still can't warm to Aleisha and can't help thinking 'what does she know?' everytime she opens her mouth.

Brendan is an idiot and don't know how on earth Jo is still in given she can't dance well and she has a walking gob for a partner.

Sorry, just had to get all that off my chest. I'll go now.

RamblingRosa · 18/10/2009 14:38

So why did everyone love Laila's outfit? Am I the only one who thought it made her look like a yeti? Fringed top = good. Fringed trousers = weird.

Loved Ricky W.

And I absolutely loved Vincent and Flavia's tango. I thought it was just incredible. I could watch those two dancing for hours.

Clayhead · 18/10/2009 14:40

Vincent and Flavia were fantastic.

I thought a '10' from Alesha didn't seem to pack the same punch as a 10 from anyone else. A 10 from CRH still seems to be the Holy Grail.

StrictlyAvadaKedavraarrrrghhhh · 18/10/2009 15:57

any score from Alesha is I feel pointless (no pun intended!)

I heard rumours Ricky Groves has been saying he doesn't take any of her comments seriously, and if I were a dancer I wouldn't either tbh.

Week 2 and 3 she seemed to be settling well into her judging role but think she hit her peak and is back on the way down again. I am confident she won't be on the panel next seasona nd they will either bring back Arlene - if she sees fit to accept the offer - or just have Bruno, Len and CRH.

Bomper · 18/10/2009 18:26

There was definitely a lipstick malfunction this week, both Ali and Flavia ended up with it smeared all over their teeth. Very fetching!!

Showmeheaven · 18/10/2009 18:51

Is anyone fed up with Anton du Beke's constant ramblings ??? He talks over everyone, its so annoying. He is such a bore but he thinks he's hilarious

TheDemonicButDandyLioness · 18/10/2009 19:36

Yep, I'm fed up with him too - said so earlier on the thread as I reached my limit with him after week one. I wish he would give the 'comedy' a rest and do some serious dancing.

Agree the tango was AMAZING, and I thought Flavia looked beautiful. She's sexy, but unlike some of the other female pros (hello, Ola), she brings class and grace to everything.

I did love Laila's outfit.

Niecie · 18/10/2009 19:37

It's cos he is a TV star now with his own shows and everything. He thinks we want to hear his views.

Don't mind talking - its the interupting that gets me.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 18/10/2009 20:43

And why does he keep going on about showing his chest?
He really does seem to think he's irresistible and the promise of his undone shirt is enough to get us to vote.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 18/10/2009 21:19

i was mortified for alesha that she gave the first ten, it was just so silly. 'i couldn't fault it', quoth she. but all the judges who know what they're doing could.

nancy, i agree with you re james, he's a cock, anyone partnered with him is at a disadvantage. (mind you i laughed like a drain when him and gaby logan went out).

and the kangaroo thing wasn't personal, imo. tonioli said 'skippy' and 'grasshopper', so 'more like bush kangaroo' is just a fairly jolly joke. the whole thing seemed staged for sympathy, i thought, brendan knows that this is the time when the constituency votes start to defect to actual dancers so perhaps not a bad idea?

StrictlyAvadaKedavraarrrrghhhh · 18/10/2009 21:25

ahh Gabby and James, a partnership made in heaven [miaow]

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 18/10/2009 21:28

Absolutely, Aitch. It was so not Alesha's place to give the first 10 of the series.

AitchTwoToTangOh · 18/10/2009 21:30

it really wasn't, was it? i was dying, what was she tihinking?

i interviewed gaby once, then phoned her and she thought for some reason (possibly my accent?) that i was the nanny. you wouldn't want to hear the way she speaks to her nanny, i've got to tell you...

LilyBolero · 18/10/2009 21:34

I was a bit about the 10, but then it's all comparitive - if she felt that it was better than Jade's, to which she gave 9, then there was only 1 way to go! I think they should be able to differentiate a bit more - it certainly wasn't a '10' performance, but maybe a 9.5?

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 18/10/2009 21:36

PMSL, Aitch. Why does that not surprise me?

SmallSCREAMCap · 18/10/2009 22:39

I cringed for Alesha when she gave that 10, too. Seemed a bit of an attention-grab to me.

I'd forgotten that James was once partnered with Gabby L. I bet those two lit up the room wherever they went

GrimRIAper · 19/10/2009 00:23

still catching up... feel male dancers should not wear red trousers and shoes with black tops, and female celebrities should not do upside-down stuff...

TheDemonicButDandyLioness · 19/10/2009 00:27

Did anyone else notice Zoe's face when Laila and Anton were doing there talking to Tess after performing bit? Talk about humourless. She hardly looked at them and just looked really pissed off. She only smiled right at the end when someone else said something to her.

GrimRIAper · 19/10/2009 00:29

ouch - Len's comment about Ricky Groves foxtrot! Good old Len!!!

TheDemonicButDandyLioness · 19/10/2009 00:31

Grim - if you're watching it now, watch out for the Zoe face

docket · 19/10/2009 10:59

TheDemonic - I noticed Zoe's face in that bit. In fact, I thought a couple of others looked similarly unenthused (although I include Ola in that and she does seem to favour that kind of expression generally!)

TheDemonicButDandyLioness · 19/10/2009 11:08

Yes, I did think Laila and Anton had a far more muted atmosphere backstage than is usual- I wonder if they're less popular with the others? But Zoe's face particularly stood out

ameRIAcansmooth · 19/10/2009 11:59

sorry to be dim - do you mean during the foxtrot? am still about a week behind I think. will watch again toight.

ameRIAcansmooth · 19/10/2009 12:01

another quick question - Tess apologised for Brunos language I believ (can't remember who is was about) what did he say?

TheDemonicButDandyLioness · 19/10/2009 12:02

Are you talking to me?

If so, I mean after Laila and Anton did their jive, when they came back to the green room/backstage bit and were doing their piece with Tess to camera, waiting for their results, while others sat round.
