I was wondering if anyone here knew when the new series starts? I'm in need of a Winchester fix.

OP posts:
serenity · 15/06/2009 09:28

X posted because it took so long to write that!

Don't apologise again. Once is enough, just give it a bit of time.

meridian · 15/06/2009 09:46

not exactly any brighter this morning... i barely slept and am crying again( I shall blame pms this time but its realyl jsut being an emotional train wreck) ... god I hate crying.. why can't i jsut do an artful emo tear instead of being blubbery and snotty and useless...

I need coffee, pie and and hot shower.. I have no pie but I made blueberry muffins thins morning so that will have to do.. even a train wreck can still bake..

Show- fab fic! left you a comment.. your writing is amazing! I'm so very ... a fic for me? that would be fabulous...

serenity · 15/06/2009 09:58

Emo tear like this?

I'm quite envious of being organised enough to bake in the morning (I'm not a morning person)

meridian · 15/06/2009 10:09

Serenity- yes a tear like that.. it is a beautiful thing...

I set out everything for beking at 1:35 in the am o'clock, but I bake so often I could do it with my eyes closed... and I'm not a morning person either... it's easier to be busy than to sit there woeful and feeling like i'm the worst kind of human being for being me..

any more pretties to share? I need more pretty piccys today..

meridian · 15/06/2009 17:34

am calm and serene now and I'm not going to let it bother me.. I'm not evil.. though I may be bad...but you already knew that or we wouldn't all get along so well as the nutcase obsessive Winchester fans that we are.. we will have to revize a kidnapping plot for next year's asylum!

ShowOfHands · 15/06/2009 19:07

Oh I'm so pleased you sound brighter. You're certainly not evil. Human. And lovely with it. But if you were evil you could be hunted. Or seduce Sam. Now there's a thought.

Have you seen the wonderful icon that serenity made for me? I'm still grinning hours later.

ShowOfHands · 15/06/2009 21:31

3 fics in 3 days. About 5000 words. I'm exhausted. And having a crisis of confidence. It's all a bit 'Dean lay in the mud, Dean got up, Castiel swept in for a bit'. Nowt happening. It's not thrill a minute. It will be when Dean's feeling his normal perky self and Castiel has er comforted him sufficiently but it's fecking dull as writing goes. I shouldn't inflict it on people.

Had a cracking storm here today. It was dark at 4pm with lashing rain and lightning.

25 month old is NOT in bed and not showing any signs of sleepiness.

meridian · 16/06/2009 11:38

Show-- I'm more of a dean girl.. but Sam is very very pretty.. makes notes for when I turn evil ... though if I were to turn evil then I think I would rather destroy tempt and certain angel to fall...

wow thats alot of writing.. I have writen stuff all this week though I really shoud get a move on as its book and writing group tonight and I need to do the drabble prompt that I er prompted.. blog here if you so wish to snoop .. and my less dodgey writing blog is here though thats mostly just drabbles... for I am a dreamer of writing rather than a writer so to speak... though that was always one of my dreams, I have a scanner personality type so when not going into hormonal emotional meltdown mode I am rather scatterbrained and filled with fleeting obsessions over crafting, writing, reading, furiously baking cupcakes and brownies, half assedly gardening, and dreaming of angst filled Winchesters... read all those links and you will soon bore of me!

had a Winchestery dream that I was a demon inhabiting Dean's body, was standing at the mirror applying face lotions and potions and girly crap and I could hear Dean's dispair and anger but he couldn't do anything about it.. was odd.. though i'm sure there are a zillion and one fics about out of body expieriences...

meridian · 17/06/2009 15:44

OMG.. I think I may have found something to tide me over till SHOW comes back.. have just watched the first episode of TrueBlood... OMG Vampires... flailty flail ..they had me at the opening credits to be honest..

must get ahold of the books... who has the books? I'm willing to beg, borrow, swap.. I haz books and crafts to tart...

oh and tonight DH is taking me to see War of the Worlds

serenity · 17/06/2009 17:14

TrueBlood was very good - books are mile, miles, miles better though.

Am quite excited, S2 starts soon in the US

TheFool · 17/06/2009 18:00
serenity · 17/06/2009 18:34

I've got all of them somewhere... looks at leaning stacks and overflowing bookcases Definitely somewhere.

serenity · 17/06/2009 18:39

Incidently. S5 starts (in the US) on 10/9, and there's less than 100 tickets left for Asylum 4 (I blame Misha) which is a bit OMG as only Jim Beaver is confirmed as a guest atm, and everyone's pretty open about the fact that it's highly unlikely that they'll get the J's again (don't usually not film in the summer)

meridian · 18/06/2009 09:28

Serenity- I think season two started alread as I'm pretty sure there are files for it on torrentz search...

dig out the books please!!!!!!! holds the Boys and a bound angel at gunpoint and makes them bat thier pretty lashes and strip to terrible 70's horror movie soundtrack

serenity · 18/06/2009 16:39

Yes is grumpy I discovered it started last Sunday very late last night. I've DL'd it, but I've actually been working during the day this week, so haven't had the chance to watch it yet. Off tomorrow, but have so much to do...

I'll try and find the books, me and my sister share books so they might be in the boxes that I'm storing for her whilst she's between flats. I've have a look later.

ShowOfHands · 18/06/2009 16:48

True Blood? is not familiar Enlighten me...

I've been away for a few days visiting my 84yr old grandmother who starts every sentence 'I'll probably be dead tomorrow but if I'm not...' We took her to the beach for a day and she spent close to an hour cataloguing a plethora of ailments, stared wistfully at a boat and ended on 'I don't complain though'. I truly, truly love her, but it's like Alan Bennett's characters have started walking and talking.

Chapter 4 done and sent to lovely lady who has agreed to beta. Or un-Englishify it at least. I suspect nobody's reading though

@ asylum tickets. Would love to listen to Jim Beaver though.

Is it wrong that the idea of Misha and farsi has me drooling?

Right, got me a run to go on and a chapter 5 to write.

serenity · 18/06/2009 17:20

OK, Links for Series, Books

There's a 1/2hr interview/promo of season 1 on YouTube

It's very much NSFW, so no watching in front of minors (I'm fairly unshockable, but there were some bits that made me go OMG! and peek through my fingers) It's very sexually graphic.

serenity · 18/06/2009 17:23

Pressed enter too soon...

Tickets are all gone!

I have a bit of a thing for other languages, I love it (Russian bit in A Fish called Wanda is jsut perfect, but far better imagined with Misha instead of John Cleese) so Misha and Farsi is good.

Yay on next chapter!

ShowOfHands · 18/06/2009 19:15

Tickets all gone? Oh sweet moses. It's the blardy minions. They've cracked.

I'll avoid clicking on links until small person has gone to bed. I have quite the penchant for vampires and they're rarely done well. Being Human excepted, most recent attempts are questionable. Haven't investigated Twilight yet (have about a squillion books to read first). Have any of you read them?

Inkheart arrived from love film this afternoon so am going to eat liquorice, watch mild fantasy film, rewatch SPN on ITV2 and perhaps finish chapter 5 inbetween. Serenity I think it's officially you and my beta reading it.

serenity · 19/06/2009 00:34

I liked Twilight, they're worth reading, just don't make the mistake of taking them too seriously (she was a well known fanfic writer apparently, and it does show...) There are oodles of clichés, but it's fun. I enjoyed the film, but I recognise and acknowledge the aspects that people hate.

Write for yourself. It's multichapter, plenty of people don't read WIP until they're finished, specially from an unknown author has no track record of finishing. Personally? I don't read WIP unless it's someone I know (I read fast, I get easily frustrated, and it's bloody annoying to get to a certain point and it just... stops, and is never updated again) Don't be discouraged gives encouraging hug

meridian · 19/06/2009 09:22

Serenity- thanks for looking for books...

Show- I will read your chapters soon, but I have to do some crafting first, as I need to take some bracelets up to a shop in town that is selling them for me and I need to finish making them first...

I only read the first twilight book... It was ok, i wasn't that impressed though as it was a bit sparkly for me and I just wanted a bit for darkness, gore, and ruthless vamps.. instead of shiny sparkly pedo ones..

ShowOfHands · 19/06/2009 11:29

Thank you for the encouraging hug.

I feel uncharacteristically concerned about it. Have never written fanfic before and tbh, have no idea what happened. My muse took a wander and it just happened. I worried an awful lot about posting it to a comm as was convinced that proper fic writers would be horrified. I'd still have written it though. I can't not write and write what pleases me. It's a strange thing to submit it for the criticism of others. I'll finish it too. Too stubborn not to and have the story in my head to its bitter conclusion. I wondered whether to finish it for myself and not bother with posting it but don't want to be one of those WIP abandoners.

Ach, what does it matter.

Feeling rather arty today. Have painted some acrylic boards with jungle scenes for dd's room. Quite good even if I do say so myself. Off to get creative with jacket potatoes now...

ShowOfHands · 20/06/2009 17:47

Have discovered MISHALAND. When I was in hospital after having dd, they gave me morphine and I started to hallucinate. It's a similar feeling.

meridian · 20/06/2009 20:09

Show.. I totalyl forgot what I was going to say in response to your previous post.. as I looked up MISHALAND .. OMG that almost makes us seem sane.. almost... I think I had a dream like that once.. after not sleeping for two day.. I may have been awake at the time..

serenity · 20/06/2009 20:09

MISHALAND FTW! YOU CAN'T DISCUSS IT IN LOSERCASE, SHAME ON YOU!

They are rather weird, but I have strangely maternal feelings towards the lot of them.
