well, 2 hours on the 12th but you get the idea!

Am going to have to think up a new 24 name....and will need to recap last season and Redemption before monday but thought I would be first in with a thread.

See now I pmsl when Kim shouted 'dammit', but was more than a bit when she ran after the perp without at least picking up a gun first.

There's no way she can really be Jacks daughter is there? Though, I did chortle at the fact that she has her fathers superb memory for useful FBI telephone numbers

Overall, I was disappointed. I wasn't as gripped by this series, and there was a distinct lack of 'edge of the seat' moments.

As I've said before, this may well be due to watching it weekly. I'll have to try watching the box set in one sitting and see if I feel any differently.

Bill I watch it live every series, think it was just this season that lacked that bit of something,
they probably could have squeezed all that into 1 hour and it would be more like the old 24, except for Jack recovering so quick from a spinal tap!
Yes Bling I was thinking of you, I nearly said bet ya Bling is right Tony is in deep, but I didn't just pretended it was my own lightbulb moment

Although dh made me laugh, I said what Alan out of, he said loads of stff but he was in that film with bruce willis where they drilled a whole in the moon

To which I said Armageddon, in amongst laughing "the moon?"
His response was it was just as believable, sorry you had to be there it was funny, then I got told off for laughing during 24

Definitely no action when 24 is on - actually, it being over is probably good for our sex life. It was worse when we were watching on dvd - days could go by without us exchanging words that didn't relate to Jack and the gang!

I don't know that Kim could have grabbed a gun, but I thought a cell phone wouldn't have gone amiss? I loved that she didn't even attempt to save the bad guy.

She's much more like she was in the early series - she got too whiney for a while and all bitter and twisted because her mother died. I like her tougher.

Oh, and Audrey - when is House on? I saw it advertised but it never has a time attached! I've missed key first episodes haven't I?

I did wonder at your first sentence then Bling... might have got a bit jealous LOL.

DH thought it was a good way to end the series. There was no way all that could have been resolved in the last hour. I said, "how will they heal Jack with 4 mins to go?"

They will probaly do a Mini 24 to fill in the gap like they did with the last season.

Oh RL - The bloke Kiefer headbutted is not pressing charges, so looks like the 8th day will be a go! Woot!

Oh I knew they couldn't solve everything, but at least have tony produce the evidence they need from his searches so we know alan is going down just as renee is caught headbutting him or soemthing!

House is next sunday at 9, so that fills a gap quite nicely

I'm feeling quite sad that it's all over now. Not just because Jack (and Tony) are gone but because it was always fun catching up on this thread. And telling DH about it - he was always a bit bemused!

I quite enjoyed the last 2 hours - thought there had been a bit of a slump in excitement in the couple of hours before that.

Started well I thought with the whole airport thing. DH and I cheered when Kim stabbed the woman in the leg with the biro and the airport shooting frenzy/chase was really good I thought. Kim did well! Though I agree with the comments about the high heels on the metal stairs. I was wondering about that myself.

Also shed a little tear over the scene with Jack and the guy from the mosque right at the end when Jack was about to go into his coma.

Was full of adrenaline and found it hard to get to sleep afterwards . Kept wondering about what Renee was doing to Alan in that room! Quite liked that they left that a bit open ended. Not as exciting as the end of some of the previous series (particularly liked the ending when he was draggen off by the Chinese ).

All over now

DH told me that he read in the internet somewhere, that they have already started casting the next season and what the basic opening set up is going to be.

i'll see if he remembers where he read that when he gets in.
