I don't think so. She's just confused. You can be wrong without beinbg conniving. Latoya however, is very cynical and distrustful and manipulative

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 11:02

Michelle's not clever enough to be conniving.

Monkeytrousers · 18/01/2009 11:28

Yeah, she's like a little pubby. One minute she's bouncing about and the next minute she's hiding under the bed after being told off for being too boisterous.

It doesn't change the fact that Coolio is a bully. He honed in on Michelle because she wore her heart (and maybe weakness) on her sleeve. He doesn't pick on the strong, only who he preceives to be weak. Thats the definition of a bully, isn;t it?

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 12:37

La Toya is sneaky but she is right about Michelle and the advice she gave Coolio was correct. In fact, too many people in the house are saying the same thing but in different words. If Michelle didn't have Coolio to moan about or cry over, she'd have to find another way to get attention in the house.

The smile when Tina's name was called for eviction said it all. That wasn't the smile of someone who "just can't take anymore".

Mamazon · 18/01/2009 12:39

right peeps.
Im going to be on BBLB on wednesday and i haven't even watched this series so have no idea whats going on.

can someone give me a brief synposis. don't really want to re read the entire thread.

EldonAve · 18/01/2009 12:52

house is divided on gender lines
unbalanced now as tina and mutya have gone

they keep screwing up the tasks so BB gave in and gave extra food as they were all moaning too much and probably threatening to leave

Mamazon · 18/01/2009 12:55

have they not won a single task?

I have caughtthe odd 10 minutes or so here and there from teh live feed whilst visiting other people so i know they had to do a task about dressing up as toys or something?.

has there been any big arguments or anything?

Monkeytrousers · 18/01/2009 12:56

What did she say though? That he couldn;'t trust Terry? Why? Cos Terry see's that he's a good guy sometimes and a nob others - or Verne does? That's noit betrayal, that's management of friendships, that's being honest with yourself and others, that's being realistic. That's how frendships are.

And that's why Latoya has no friends by choice, because she mistakes complexity and honesty for betrayal

imho

EldonAve · 18/01/2009 13:03

they have had success in some tasks but not enough to pass overall so they were on the basic rations

luckymummy74 · 18/01/2009 14:00

mamazon are you on BBLB as a guest or in the audience?

Mamazon · 18/01/2009 14:02

I will be there as partof the studio audience. but apparantly we are encouraged to take part in the show.

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 14:13

La Toya is playing the game, same as everyone else except she is doing it by stealth, keeping her distance and just observing everyone without getting involved, that's why I think she is being sneaky.

I didn't catch what La Toya said about Terry though? Although Terry is basically saying the same as La Toya about Michelle, as is Tommy, Verne and Ben, they all seem pretty sick of it. When Michelle started bubbling again last night, even Ulrika done a big sigh and looked as if to say "ffs, here we go again".

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 14:15

Someone on BBLB the other night asked "is Michelle trying to be this years Shilpa Shetty?".

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 15:25

LOL, Latoya is really repellent imo. The fact that she has kept herself aloof from all the other women and in fact from everyone except UnCoolio, says a lot about her.

I'm revelling in my dislike of her.

vjg13 · 18/01/2009 15:48

Latoya seems to just be interested in her fellow American housemates. Michelle is a pain but Coolio is a real wanker and I think Latoya's theory on Michelle's devious strategy is crap.

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 15:52

Well she's so devious herself, that she automatically attributes a devious motive to everyone else. It's not surprising that she sees deviousness where others see merely flakiness.

candyfluff · 18/01/2009 16:37

am very surprised at latoya
what a snake in the grass

Monkeytrousers · 18/01/2009 18:25

well said LB

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 19:39

La Toya is not the only one seeing the "deviousness". If that is true then surely everyone else in the house is devious too since they all think the same? IMO opinion, "deviousness" is probably too strong a word for Michelle. I'd call it 'career building' or 'forward planning'.

Monkeytrousers · 18/01/2009 19:43

I'd call her a bit feckless

Monkeytrousers · 18/01/2009 19:43

How on earth could crying and getting upset become a career plan for a pop singer?

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 19:51

I don't think the others have seen her as devious.

They're getting a bit fed up with her and wishing she would get over it, but I hadn't clocked any implication that she was doing it deliberately for attention.

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 19:52

Also I find it really really interesting that in the end, it's always the victim of bullying that has their behaviour analysed. Michelle's crying, thin skin etc. have been discussed by housemates, but Coolio's offensiveness, sexism and general oafishness have not been condemned quite as much as her response to them.

HolyGuacamole · 18/01/2009 20:36

If you watch BB live, the you will see that Coolios sexism/oafishness etc has been discussed at great length with the general consensus being to ignore him. That's why the other housemates have not 'suffered' as much as Michelle, because they ignore his behaviour. Not everything is shown on the C4 nightly programme.

Almost everyone (esp Tommy and Terry), not just La Toya, have taken Coolio aside and told him what his behaviour is resulting in....ie, feeding Michelles reaction/attention seeking.

Coolios behaviour is analysed by the other housemates just as much as Michelles is, it's just that you don't see it all on the nightly C4 programme. I tend to be an underdog supporter and if I thought for one moment that Michelle was being bullied, I'd be among the first to agree and speak out against it. And, by the way, I'm not a Coolio supporter.

(yes I'm sad and yes I'm addicted)

LittleBella · 18/01/2009 21:36

LOL, how do you fit it all in, with the mumsnetting as well?

Yes good point, we're v. dependent on editing.
