I haven't seen the news.

beanieb · 08/01/2009 21:58

guess that makes me an idiot too?

pigsickoncorona · 08/01/2009 22:03

I dont think so beanieb...

I suppose this is the way these people earn their livings...I am just really shocked by how vacuous this all seems today...even by vacuous entertainment standards...

LoveMyLapTop · 08/01/2009 22:19

i am watching the news now

LittleBella · 08/01/2009 22:24

God Coolio is such a tosser

beanieb · 08/01/2009 22:34

Aren't we all Vacuous? I don't spend every moment of my working day worrying about the middle east!

Anyway. not enough LaToya tonight imo

beanieb · 09/01/2009 00:40

are the rules about talking about nominations the same for the 'slebs? Tina has been talking about nominations for ages!

she's getting on my nerves.

I'm sorry, but that Verne doing Lional Rich Tea was hilarious......I love him!!!!

beanieb · 09/01/2009 14:48

Verne takes everything so seriously, I wonder if he really thinks his performance on the show matters in the grand scheme of things?

I thought it was quite cruel of everyone to laugh and I think good on Ulrika for keeping it all going smoothly.

Tina is just not being herself. I think she's so worried about looking bad to the public, that she is biting her tongue but in normal life she would have exploded by now. Thing is, if she suddenly explodes now then it's all a bit too late as both Ulrika and the page three girl have already been straight with Coolio while Tina seems to prefer talking about him behind his back.

cornsilk · 09/01/2009 16:39

I reckon Ulrika's actually got an okay voice. She was funny in that performance. I really like her now - she has won me over! Go Ulrika-ka-ka-ka!

Tillyscoutsmum · 09/01/2009 21:43

I really hope Ulrika stays... I think she's been very open and honest. I like her

Not sure why Ulrika was crying either...

But glad Lucy gone, she was totally pointless.

cornsilk · 09/01/2009 22:10

Poor Ulrika. I nearly cried when she got so upset.

simpson · 09/01/2009 22:15

She did definately look genuinely upset. She must miss her LO. (and older Dcs too obviously)

My DD is 11mths and I would be miserable being away from her that long

LoveMyLapTop · 09/01/2009 22:16

glad Lucy is out.
Really like Ulrika
Loved latoya ice skating was brill!

tiredsville · 09/01/2009 22:28

No, Urika hasn't won me over just yet.
I'm wondering if Terry was right about her inflated ego and perhaps the prospect of being the first one booted off terrified her.

cornsilk · 09/01/2009 22:31

I don't think you could fake that. It made my eyes fill with tears to watch her sobbing like that. Reminded me off being apart from my ds's when they were babies when I really didn't want to be, like the first day back at work.

luckymummy74 · 09/01/2009 22:39

Ditto cornsilk, I 'dropped a tear' too....my DD2 is similar age to her baby, and the thought of not seeing her for a week....

I'm not saying I condone her for going on, but she did say that she was only doing it for the money, and was hoping to be booted off quickly. I believe her. If any of us were offered £100K (or whatever she has been paid, I don't know???) would we do it???

cornsilk · 09/01/2009 22:39

I would.

treacletart · 09/01/2009 22:43

For that money I would too, but I'd be thrilled to think I could be out first and thoroughly disappointed if it wasn't me out first after all. Her little one's tiny. It's quite upsetting seeing her so upset.

luckymummy74 · 09/01/2009 22:43

That's what I mean...it sounds harsh, but £100K is a lot of money....I think I could go a week or two without my DDs for £100K if it meant I could give them a better future....IYSWIM.

treacletart · 09/01/2009 22:45

Its a good thing they put those baby dolls in another room - that would have sent me over the edge for sure in Ulrika's position

cornsilk · 09/01/2009 22:46

Oh that's a point. Wonder if that's why they did that. The babies are usually in the main room.
