Love Jonathan Creek so was excited about its return. Thought it was a very good comeback with some very clever bits . . . . BUT . . . It was a bit too dark maybe? Not much humour in it like there normally is. More like an ep of Wire in the Blood or something like that. Liked Sheridan Smith as the new sidekick though.

When's it on again!? I watched the Agatha Christie on ITV. Regretted it. Should have watched JC>

Can I download it or something??

madAngelHairday · 04/01/2009 12:48

Couldn't work out the relevance of the porn/girl with boobs storyline?
Bath thing was terrifying, gave me nightmares! Thought it was bit dark really, not what I expected.

UnquietDad · 04/01/2009 13:06

Given that several of the corpses in the tank were skeletons, the water would have been full of fragments of decaying flesh - unless it was kept topped up with fresh water!

KayHarkerIsGlum · 04/01/2009 13:19

UQD, you're over-thinking this, I did the same

mustrunmore · 04/01/2009 13:22

You know, I dont care that were were a million holes in the storyline. I just love it cos its a nice cosy winter watch. We very rarely watch tv, so this was special
OMG tho, I've had nightmares about dirty baths since then. Yuck yuck. Makes me feel like a good housewife though

pointydog · 04/01/2009 15:14

how much do you actually know about fragments of decaying flesh in water, ud?

UnquietDad · 04/01/2009 16:04

er, probably nothing... just surmising!!

KayHarkerDoesNotSimper · 04/01/2009 16:09

Plankton! Or something...

When I wasn't really thinking about it, and let the holes sweep over me in a post-Christmas alcohol fuzz, it was enjoyable telly.

Theresa · 04/01/2009 17:46

have whizzed thru the comments, trying not to pay too much attention to the references to the plug. Will prob just watch it myself, quite funny how some thought it would be ok for a 10 yr old then remembered the porn references Thanks to everyone for your valued input!

Macdog · 04/01/2009 18:02

it's not scheduled for repeat, but it is available on iplayer

Ivykaty44 · 05/01/2009 17:12

well tbh I was surprised they could even see through the water as it must have been older than 70 and with decaying bodies a little on the greeny/brown side.

As to whether there would be decaying flesh in the water you wouldn't really be able to see it in all the gunk

KayHarkerDoesNotSimper · 05/01/2009 19:52

ugh, I feel ill.

hippipotami · 05/01/2009 20:47

I too thought the water was a bit on the clear side...

Horrific though, have only had showers since watching that!!

But I don't remember JC episodes being this scary....
(or am I just a big wuss?)

Ivykaty44 · 05/01/2009 21:59

I am sure the boy in outnumbered will grow up to be JC long lost son
