Another X factor Thread! Why does everyone hate on Alex???

Alexander Burke the Xfactor winner and out of all of them deserved the title she is by far an amazing singer, I don't know why so many people are putting her down.

I think she worked really hard to get to where she is and I hope she goes on to win the Christmas number 1.

Alex with out a doubt has to be the best singer that has come out of X Factor. Lenoa Lewis is good but she does not have as much singing range as Alex.

the winners song should be appropriate to the winner- and Hallelujah is not an R and B song. this is where the x factor fails every year. I do think it would have suited diana, or even Laura. But not Alex. But that isn't really her fault, it's the people who picked the track, and she has sung it the only way she can, because that is her style. But i agree, they should have stuck to covering sappy crap no one really knew, and left the classics alone!

Am re-reading Ben Elton's Chart Throb. Had forgotten how fabulously funny and spot-on his satire is. It seems particularly superb given that such a thoroughly dislikable individual has won this year - she is just like some of the characters in the novel. What's scary is that now Elton's work doesn't even seem that satirical - it's more or less how it happens, isn't it??
